"Had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful historic house. The town is straight out of a fairy tale ! The house is very close to lots of lovely restaurants. The enclosed garden was suitable for our dogs and we spent pleasant hours sitting ,relaxing there over a beer ,listening to the small river flowing by. The accommodation was very good-lots of space to spread out. The surrounding countryside was amazing. Would thoroughly recommend this destination. "

"This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....

A covered outdoor area is also provided with comfortable seating!For dinner we drove up into the hills to the Renchtalhuette! Very cozy place with great food! (and goats to pet)"

"Der Weg zum Haus ist super vom Vermieter beschrieben und sehr abenteuerlich. Das Haus steht in absoluter Alleinlage am Waldrand und direkt vor dem Haus beginnen die Weinfelder. Traumhaft schön. Die kleine Auffahrt direkt zum Haus (ca. 50m) ist sehr steil. Vom Parkplatz vor dem Haus geht es ca. 50 Stufen durch den Garten zum Gebäude. Das Außengelände und der Garten könnten etwas mehr liebe vertragen. Oben gibt es eine wunderschöne überdachte Terrasse mit einem großartigen Blick auf Offenburg....

"Five of us stayed very comfortably. We could have easily had twice that many. There was a misunderstanding about towels and such. It was entirely my fault. This was my first experience with a self-service place and I didn’t read the instructions completely. Complicated by a bit of a language barrier. Otherwise, everything was perfect."

We regularly walked the short distance to the many restaurants and cafes and the younger members of our group enjoyed the nearby tennis courts and open air swimming pool. "Umgebung top. Leider waren einige Dinge in der Ferienunterkunft defekt. Die Dusche im UG war die Tür defekt und konnte nicht benutzt werden, im OG war die Balkontür defekt und man konnte diese nicht nutzen, der Tiefkühlschrank war voll und vereist (wir hatten vorher nachgefragt ob es einen gibt und wir diesen nutzen können und auf der Terrasse waren die Bodenfliesen locker."
