We stayed in the Haystack house which was compact and wonderful for our family. We enjoyed the countryside setting with chickens, fresh eggs, a tour of the windmill on the property, and the boats sailing on the Rhine outside our place. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place as a wonderful Dutch experience.

We felt we we trying in the country far from the cities with beautiful sun set. How ever we not far from city centers and a lot of stuff was easy to reach by bikes.

We had a really relaxing time here. The cottage is small but that suited us, and the view across the fields filled with all kind of wildlife was superb (not forgetting the chickens next to us and the three walking ducks!). And the huge windmill next to the canal is something to behold. Hans, the host, was really welcoming and helpful and if you want to lean more about the windmill then Google 'Vrouwgeest windmill' and learn how it has been in his family since 1797. The cottage we stayed in was built by Hans from a Dutch hay storage building with a roof that would have been raised and lowered (thus the poles and the pulleys). And as for Holland – glorious. The Dutch are so friendly and speak better English than many Brits I know, and Gouda and the cheese experience is recommended. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and really didn’t want to leave. Thank you Hans..

Een heerlijk verblijf op een unieke plek met een zeer aardige en betrokken gastheer Hans. Leuke dieren zoals kippen, loopeenden en schapen. Prachtig uitzicht op de polder en een prachtige molen. Es war ein sehr erholsamer Urlaub. Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr idyllisch abseits der Stadt. Die Mühle ist wunderschön und der morgendliche Ausblick auf die Felder einfach toll. Wir wurden morgens von Hühnern begrüßt und von einem Hund besucht. Unser Gastgeber Hans war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub im Haystack Haus. Bei schönem Wetter konnten wir morgens und Abends die Terasse nutzen und die Polderlandschaft beobachten. Das Haystack Haus hat im oberen Schlafzimmer eine Klimaanlage. Die Treppe zum Schlafzimmer ist sehr steil. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr schön direkt neben der Windmühle (die noch im Betrieb ist/sehr imposant). Auf dem Gelände leben darüber hinaus noch Hühner und Schafe. Ländlicher geht’s nicht. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Lage ist bezogen auf Ausflüge perfekt. Alphen, Den Haag, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Gouda… alles sehr schnell erreichbar. Die Niederlande generell aber im speziellen diese Gegend ist für Radfahrer prädestiniert. Der Gastgeber ist super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist zwar tendenziell eher hellhörig aber wir haben das mit einem 4 Jährigen und einem 5 Monate alten Kind super unterbekommen. Die Treppe im Haus ist Bauart -Bedingt etwas steil/klein flächige Stufen (falls relevant). Absolut zu empfehlen! Zu unserem Erstaunen hatten wir trotz der vielen Gewässer keine einzige Mücke.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Obwohl nahe am Ort Aplhen aan den Rijn gelegen liegt die Mühle sehr idyllisch, ruhig und total im Grünen. Wir konnten direkt beim Gastgeber sehr gute Räder mieten und damit z.B. nach Alphen zum Bahnhof oder nach Woubrugge zum Bäcker und zum Einkaufen radeln. Unsere Ferienwohnung war sehr sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Lage hat uns gut gefallen und wir wurden prima betreut vom Vermieter (immer da, wenn man ihn braucht, aber nicht aufdringlich ). Wunderschöne historische Mühle!!! Wir kommen wieder

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Wir schätzten die Ruhe und die tolle Aussicht mit den herrlichen Sonnenuntergängen. Die Unterkunft bietet alles was man braucht, ist sehr sauber und modern gestaltete und die Lage in der Mitte der Niederlande bietet alle Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge nach Den Haag, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht oder ans Meer. Wir können Hans und seine Unterkunft bedenkenlos weiter empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung in wunderbarer Umgebung, sehr netter Vermieter, der sich gut und schnell um alles kümmert. Vermietet auch selbst Fahrräder, was sehr bequem ist. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet. Die Lage ist sehr gut, man ist schnell in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag, Delft und am Meer. Bleiben eigentlich keine Wünsche offen, wir kommen gerne wieder

Wir haben einen sehr entspannten Familienurlaub zu viert mit unseren beiden kleinen Kinder (4 Jahre und 9 Monate) in ruhiger und sehr idyllischer Lage verbracht! Die Unterkunft ist sehr gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet! Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Unser vierjähriger Sohn hatte viel Spaß mit den Tieren und den Spielmöglichkeiten direkt am Haus. In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es viele Möglichkeiten zum angeln. Die vielen tollen Radwege in der Umgebung laden zu schönen Radtouren ein. In ca. 40 Minuten ist man mit dem Auto am Meer! Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub und wir würden gerne wiederkommen!

Wunderschöne Lage der FeWo und tolle Umgebung. Kurze Wege in größere Städte per Bahn oder Auto zu erreichen. Toll ausgebaute Fahrradwege. Nette Leute unterwegs angetroffen. Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohlgefühlt. Und es ist ein sehr netter Vermieter.

Herrliche Ruhe in idyllischer Umgebung. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in Südholland sind mit dem Auto in kurzer Zeit erreichbar. Das Häuschen ist sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen.

Trois nuitées et bien trop vite passées!!! Amoureux de la nature ou photographe, cet endroit au charme absolue ne peut que vous enchanter! Hôte très agréable et accueillant. Les poules, les moutons, les cygnes et les oiseaux vous permettront de vous aider à vous mettre sur pause. Oui! Le temps s’arrête et qu’est ce que c’est agréable. Nous reviendrons avec un immense plaisir!!
