Due to many bookings and some system problem (according to the hotel) i was accommodated a single bed, tiny room after traveling almost a day from Japan. My only wish was to sleep in a comfortable bed with some space in the room, which I didn't get unfortunately. The hotel staff didn't know what to do due to the manager's absence. I spoke to Expedia and they tried their best to let the hotel refund me the difference weeks later. It was very small money anyway and I wish the hotel staff would have been more creative and better in customer service and did "service recovery" immediately with a meal voucher etc. This experience totally ruined my first day in Ålesund. People will always remember how you made them feel.

Easy to access to the bus terminal for tours. The restaurant was not so spacious but breakfast was good enough.
