"I think that this would be a great hotel for a weekend getaway if you happen to live somewhere in the UK or even Europe. I was quite jetlagged upon arrival (9am) after 24 hours in transit over several time zones. I had asked in advance if I could check in early. I did not receive a response. "The website we saw says laundry facility. we always look for a hotel that has a laundry facility to do wash if needed. this hotel has no laundry facility on site. They do over to send your laundry out for 25.00 per small bag. The laundry service they used washed all of our clothes together. whites with darks so you can imagine how our whites are now looking. this was very disappointing. It is also location next to a train yard and our room was right next to it, so we heard a train run through every 10 minutes from 4am to midnight That was the worst part when trying to sleep so ask for a room away from the train yard side. The hotel itself was very clean and staff very nice. we were a little unsure of the area because as you walk outside there was graffiti on the building walls, however we did feel safe. It was near a lot of restraints, shopping, train station and such so that was very nice as well."

"The check in staff were inexperienced & a senior staff member could’ve helped them by assisting them, but chose not to. We thought he was extremely rude and unprofessional. We were totally ignored. This was on our visit on the 10/5, he was no better on the 20/5, one of the worst front of house staff I’ve come across. I brought this to his attention & told him he was ignorant, rude, unprofessional. His was to threaten us with a fight outside - you’ve got to be joking - right ! I think that explains it all, I didn’t get his name, but I think he was French. Otherwise a great stay ! John MacGregor"
