Wonderful villa with pool in a mountain area near Alcúdia, in northern Mallorca.



This fantastic and cozy accommodation for 6 people in the area of ​​Alcúdia is an ideal place for a wonderful and quiet holiday, with the added comfort of being only an 8-minute drive from the well-known area of ​​Port d’Alcúdia. It offers beautiful and spacious outdoor areas with a large swimming pool, furnished terraces and a spectacular garden with a wide variety of native plants. An ideal place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the wonderful weather of the island. Bear in mind that since this is a mountain area, the drive from the road to the house is not made up.



The property consists of three double bedrooms, one of them in a bungalow which also has a private full bathroom. The main area has a comfortable and functional living-dining room overlooking the terrace, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a full bathroom. The house is equipped with air conditioning and heating in all rooms, satellite TV, and Wi-Fi.



The nearest town is Alcúdia, whose old quarter is an idyllically historic place. Here you can visit the ancient Roman city of Pollentia or stroll along the medieval wall that surrounds the old town. In addition, every Tuesday and Sunday a large weekly market is held, where you can find a wide variety of local and international products. Alcúdia town itself is definitely a must, where you can enjoy the many facilities the place offers: restaurants specializing in local and international cuisine, shops, supermarkets, artisan ice-cream shops, clothing stores, bus and taxi services and so on. It is very near the bay of Alcúdia, famous for its long stretches of sandy beach with crystal-clear water. The bay of Pollença, famous for its sandy and rocky coves and beaches, is also very close.

- As far as the air conditioning system is concerned, the accommodation has hot / cold air conditioning units in two bedrooms and the living room. In the master room with double bed you will find a ceiling fan.

We stayed in Can Marti for 2 weeks summer 2020 - the villa was beautiful and the pool was fantastic. The location is great just a short drive from Pollenca and Alcudia. The road to the villa is somewhat narrow (we were in a Seat Leon and I wouldn't like to have been in a wider car as the sensor beepers were going off either side!) for about 100 yards of the half mile journey off the main Ma13 road. It got easier the more I did the journey, I was worried about the car getting scratched by the overhanging shrubs but it didn't. My husband wanted to cut the bushes back himself....needles to say we had no power tools handy! The Spanish maintenance guy Walter and his wife were lovely and very helpful. When we had a couple of small issues and I emailed Foravilla Rentals they too were very helpful and responded promptly. When the kettle broke, the next day a van arrived with a new one!!! (Yes I can still drink tea in 38 degree heat!) The 'bungalow/annex' is also beautiful it's about 50m (I counted 75 steps) away from the main villa. The villa is set in huge grounds, far bigger than we anticipated. There are lots of lemon and orange trees, which was great as there was even a lemon juicing appliance in the kitchen! Our holiday was perfect we loved this villa so much, it had beautiful views, was clean, modern and private but close to two lovely towns. Fantastic!

Overall had a great holiday. Plus points for Can Marti: - Spotlessly clean and well equipped. - Pool & outside areas are lovely. Plenty of chairs, loungers & shaded areas. - The bread, snacks, wine etc. welcome pack was a lovely touch. - Location is great; a short drive from Alcudia/Port Alcudia/Pollensa/Port Pollensa. - As others have said the road leading to property is very narrow, BUT the owners leave a key for another gate at other end of property which is a much wider access road. A few things that could be improved: - The bungalow, whilst lovely (it has been redecorated & modernised since the photos) could do with a small fridge & tea/coffee making facilities like you’d get in a hotel room (the photos show a kitchen in the bungalow but it’s no longer there). Failing that, a set of spare keys for the main villa to give to occupants of bungalow so that early risers can use kitchen in main house. - More information in the house would be useful. Apart from one laminated sheet showing us how to use the hob, there are no other instructions or information about the house anywhere. The oven is an industrial model so most guests (unless professional chefs!) will be flummoxed. The owners kindly came out and showed us, but it would save them a job if instructions were there in the first place. We had to work out where the washing machine was (outside) and the bins ourselves. Just some basic information in a folder would have been useful. - Air conditioning in the double bedroom in villa. The description rather confusingly says air con is in ALL rooms (although further down the list it does say it is not in main bedroom). It was extremely hot during our stay and I’m really not sure why there is no air con in the main bedroom.

Die Finca liegt in sehr ländlicher Umgebung, so dass die Anreise über eine Schotterstrecke eigentlich nur für SUVs geeignet ist. Die Ruhe wird nur gestört nur das dauernde Gekläffe von Hunden, die auf Nachbarsgrundstücken von Spaniern in Käfigen gehalten werden, so dass man das Gejaule auch verstehen kann. Der Außenbereich der Finca mit dem Pool ist sehr schön angelegt, auch wenn der Zustand der Liegen (Armlehnen kaputt) und der Auflagen (fleckig) für den Preis der Finca etwas befremdlich wirken. Der Grill im Außenbereich ist nur mit Mühe und Verschwendung von Unmengen an Grillkohle nutzbar, da eingebaut und die "Grillroste" aufgrund der Verdreckung nur mit Alufolie zu nutzen sind, was wiederum den Heizgrad vermindert. Hier wäre ein portabler Grill sicherlich eine gute Alternative. Innen ist das Haus mit eine großem Wintergarten ausgestattet, alle wichtigen Gerätschaften sind vorhanden. Einzig der Umstand, dass für 6 Personen (wir waren jetzt eilweise nur 4) die zu erwartende Anzahl von sechs einheitlichen Gläsern für Wein etc. nicht vorhanden war, minderte etwas den Eindruck. Den Service der sehr netten Inhaberin mit Müllentsorgung und Bereistellung neuer Handtücher etc. gilt es aber hier zu loben. Alles in allem eine schöne Finca, mit einem im Vergleich zu anderen Finca nicht gänzlich stimmigen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, zumal die Stromkosten noch separat abgerechnet werden.

Clean, spacious for four - Pool is a great size.

We stayed here with our 9 and 12 yr olds.We had a lovely holiday the pool is perfect as you can walk into it and there is a shallow end and deep end.The rental company contacted us three days before we arrived with all the instructions of how to enter the villa and how to get exactly to the front door so I saved that onto Google maps even though the caretaker was there at 2.30 in the morning when we arrived and he had also put the essentials in the fridge for us to which we were so grateful. The villa is on a country road it is quite narrow on some parts but we managed. I would highly reccomend this villa for families.
