The hotel is really nice in general. We had a Sweet (bigger, nicer, more expensive) but noticed right off the mat, but it felt very hot (lots of windows, but also a lot of radiant heat from the sun. The air conditioner did not seem to be working very well. We asked them to check it on night number three, and they said everything was fine. But when we got back from dinner, it was very very hot. It was definitely cooler outside than inside, so we had to open all of the windows to let a little cool air come in, and threw the blanket on the ground and used only a sheet. It was still super hot all night, and loud as well because of surrounding noises. We hardly slept at all.

Great location. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. We got a balcony room and the views were great. Rooms are quite small, not a lot of space to open your luggage. Needs more shelves in the bathroom to put your toiletries.

Location of this property was excellent! It is just under Castelo Sao Jorge, and there is a grocery store Pingo Doce across the way which has an ELEVATOR to go into the area of the Castelo. If you take the elevator to the 7th floor there is a beautiful view of the city/water. There is also bar to sit and have drinks while watching sunset. Take this elevator to the BEST hidden gem for dinner, CHAPITO A MESA. If you sit in the ‘panoramic seating’ you can watch the sunset through the windows of this charming restaurant with excellent food and drinks! We loved it so much we went back twice. Hotel is also within walking distance to everything. At the bottom of the hill one way, you can catch the bus which takes you to the start of the famous Trolley 28. Be the first to get on and snag a seat! We rode it straight through to end and then jumped on the return trolley back. Great way to see the different city neighborhoods. Go to end of the street in other direction (toward the water), the bus straight to Belem (Geronimos Monastery) is right there. Hotel room was very clean with comfortable bed. It is basic, but it was safe and comfortable. Our view was stunning! Also our stay came with breakfast which we used only a couple days as we were out and about before it opened at 8am, but it was excellent. Array of breads, cheeses, pastries, quiche, fruits, coffee/juices. You can also order made to order eggs, omelets etc from extra menu as well. This place was an excellent choice!
