Great 4-star hotel

Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to city centre. The food is great there. The only thing that I can comment on is that there is no tea nor coffee at the rooms although there is a kettle and there are no supermarkets near the hotel

We felt very safe at this property. The staff were wonderful. Coming from America, we were a little shocked at the lack of quality of the beds. But we understand this is not unusual in Europe.

Welcoming, comfortable and very well located

I have stayed at the Baia Grande several times. It is a good sized hotel (not too large) its very welcoming, comfortable and clean, breakfast is of good choice and quality. Will continue to stay there in the future.

Would stay here again. Great facilities, staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach and walking along the coastal path can take you to other beaches nearby. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but the pool cafe had a great range of classic dishes such as lasagne and bolognaise. The spa is lovely offering a range of different treatments. We had a great stay!

Hotel was nice and had a great pool. The staff was terrific! . The bathrooms were outdated and dark, and the beds were hard. Yes the hotel is within walking distance to the beach, but fair warning it’s not close. Especially when you are walking back and it’s uphill and hot.

Very nice & clean. Nothing to complain. But there is no multi plug facilities. So we need travel adapters for our charging facility. And restaurants & shopping centre little away from the hotel but Uber is not expensive. We loved the environment and the service as well as the food.

The beach is far too far, service tends to be unfriendly and amateurish. There are no activities in the area. But if you just want to chill in the hotel by the swimming pool and need a quiet place to rest... it ok.

1st visit to Portugal

Overall the property was just what I was looking for and it was perfect. The service at the pool restaurant was unexplainable. Despite going everyday I could never get anyone to wait on me despite plenty of staff. They would bring menus and take other people’s order hole I was just sitting there. Then, I would go to the bar and order but they would never come by to see if I needed anything else. As I stated, the whole experience was unexplainable. Otherwise the property was great and Portugal was beautiful. My trip was prepaid and I was surprised to learn at check-in that a tourist tax had to be paid. I don’t remember this being explained when the reservation was made.

We Enjoyed are stay and staff were all very polite and it was a very clean hotel. It wasn't over crowded and we really enjoyed the indoor Pool and the BBQ the only negative was the dinner menus which wasn't too our liking, other than that we enjoyed our stay

Comfortable beds and on the whole a nice hotel with plenty of parking. Shuttle bus only ran three times per day which was not made clear on the website when booking. Unless you wish to spend all the time in the hotel you are out in the middle of nowhere really. Water prices at pool bar very expensive. Rules posted by pool are not followed.
