Nice little hotel
A nice little hotel, with a marvelous location, right in the city centre. Parking in the yard and lovely staff. Only one in the staff speak English but we had no problems with making ourselves understood

A very nice place to stay
The breakfast was typicly Italian: Sweet, sweet, sweet. I missed some nice, fresh bread. And some vegetables as tomatoes, cucumber, pepper and a cheese (not smoked). I also missed some müsli - chocholate or other sweet morning flakes . no thank you. Mostly everything was in plastic! No no no... But staff was excellent, room ok, free parking + in the citycenter = 7/10 points :)

Stay here!
We had a wonderful night in Alba at Alberto San Lorenzo. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. It’s central location was perfect for exploring the beautiful city. We will be back for sure!

Séjour d'une nuit pour visiter Alba
Très bel endroit petit bémol pour la chambre car pas de clim juste un petit ventilateur et pour le petit-déjeuner car pas de café (seulement en poudre) pain toast, gâteaux et jus de fruit industriels. Sinon très très bien situé.

Recommandations
Idéalement placé au centre historique, tout à proximité bars, restaurants… parking gratuit dans la cour de l'hôtel, propre et personnel accueillant. Point à améliorer, la réception wifi dans les chambres (ok dans les parties communes). Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

Disappointing experience
The hotel is well situated next to the Duomo of Alba and the place is clean, these were the two best things about it. Unfortunately the hotel is very noisy, the rooms are not soundproofed in any way and the whole place echoes like a church. You can hear every step, and move of other hotel guests to the room like you can hear when other guests are having a shower or use the toilet. Not only this but the Duomo next door will start ringing its bells at 7.45am and 8am and so on... Another big fault was that there was no internet connection in the room, no signal whatsoever. Maybe some other rooms get signal closer to the reception but the room where we were staying at the end of the corridor had none. Besides this the bed was rather uncomfortable and there was a strong, unpleasant smell of detergent lingering everywhere in the hotel.The place felt unloved and it lacked attention to details. Overall it was unfortunately not a very nice experience, especially since we had high hopes after reading positive reviews of the place.

Stort rom, rent og pent. Betjeningen la ut nøkkel da vi ankom sent, resepsjonen stenger kl 20:00. Enkel frokost. Eneste minus er at sengen var steinhard og knirket.

A eviter, pas vraiment un hotel
Wifi ne fonctionne pas, lit en pierre, cloison totalement inefficace laissant tout passer des bruits de salle de bain et de toilette de la chambre voisine, television inutile et plus petite qu'une tablette, mobilier desuet, murs sales, douche avec a peine de pression et tout juste chaude. Et il faut etre parti a 10h30. Ce n'est pas un hotel, juste des pieces salement arrangées.
