"It was great once I actually got the apartment I had booked. They tried to fob me off with a much smaller room with no kitchen or washing machine. I decided to complain so actually got the apartment about 2pm the next day. "My family and I have just returned home after having had a wonderful week at this resort. The resort was at full capacity throughout our stay, and yet the level of service was always maintained at a very high standard. Food and beverage was provided plentifully throughout the day and the selection of restaurants and food locations was excellent as was the variation in menus. The swimming pool looked very nice but we never used it as the beachside facilities were simply superb. The resort has its own beach from which you have to step into from the decking and every day was beautiful there. Watching the sunset from the beach deck (see photo) was simply enchanting also. Location-wise, the resort is situated very close to the stunning Bodrum Marina and Old Town and is only a 5-minute taxi journey and the hotel offers beautiful views over the bays and the adjacent Aegean Sea islands. As mentioned before, we were very impressed with all the staff at the resort, all of whom are multi-lingual. But I must make particular mention of Yusuf at Reception, Ugur the Entertainment Manager but especially Hasan the Guest Services Manager who always made us feel very welcome and was generous in his offerings to make our stay as special as possible. This was one of our best ever family vacations and, thanks to Hasan and to all the staff there, the Başka Resort Hotel is one we definitely look forward to returning to."
