Good time.

Log home was very nice and clean. We enjoyed renting the pontoon for a day and the other lake toys there. And we had success catching fish.

Guys trip

The house is perfect for a large group. Bedrooms are spread out on three levels and there is a large living room and dining space for a large group to hang out. Only down side is parking is limited and the driveway is steep. If you are traveling winter i recommend for when drive

What a great place to hang out and make memories.

beautiful cabin

we had such a nice time! the cabin was gorgeous, and much bigger than I was expecting! the kids had a blast catching sunnies down at the lake and it was such a perfect environment for a getaway weekend to relax together.

July Family weekend

Accommodations worked great for our family of 8 adults and 6 children. House was clean. Path to lake was fairly steep. Enjoyed use of dock, canoe, water boards, kayak and lily pads.

Nice for a Large Family Weekend

We had a nice weekend here. The cabin was as described. It has a nice up north log cabin feel and Howard Lake is spectacular. It's the perfect lake for water skiing. One thing to note is the walk down to the lake from the cabin is very steep.

Great weekend getaway

This is our second time staying at the cabin. Plenty of space for a group of 9. Jake was very timely with questions that were asked. Will definitely return. Check in and check out we’re easy.

Cabin getaway

The cabin was great was exactly as described, plenty of space, the games were enjoyed by all. Jake was easy to work with, we ended up leaving a knife behind and he worked with us to get it back which was great, would stay again.

Awesome Log Cabin

This is a very nice, large, spacious and clean log cabin on a great lake. There was plenty of room for our family. There were lots of things to do in the cabin on rainy days. The lake is very clear and quiet. Perfect for fishing and water sports. Jake (owner) was very attentive to all of our questions/requests. Our family loved our special family time at this great property!

Just What We Needed

We booked this beautiful log house for a fishing vacation for our 4 adult children and families. It was just what we needed for the 15 in our party. The place was clean, comfortable and had plenty to do inside and out. We wouldn't hesitate to book again!

Large cabin for groups

Overall, our group of friends enjoyed our stay. It's a neat cabin with traditional big log construction, a nice porch and plenty of beds to accommodate 10-12 comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked. It is nestled in the trees which is cozy but the view of and access to the lake is somewhat limiting. The host was easy to contact and very responsive.

Family Lake Time

We absolutely loved this beautiful cabin. The accommodations are lovely! The lake is a great size, not too big so that it is really busy, but big enough to enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing- we definitely took advantage of the watercraft that Jake made available to us! The setting is so serene and close to wonderful hiking trails and beautiful forests. The little town of Walker is charming with cute shops, coffee shops and restaurants. We highly recommend a visit!

We enjoyed our stay

The property was clean and comfortable. Lots to do in the downstairs play area with pool table, games, darts. We rented the pontoon and it was large and easy to drive. The path to the lake is very steep. A few of us had a hard time getting down to the lake. But the property was very nice with a firepit and nice area around the fire. There could be some updates done to the property but all-in-all we had a good vacation.

A day in the woods

We had a great time; the cabin was perfect for the group we had (5 couples). Parking was kind of tight if you have a trailer but very manageable if you unload on the road and back in. We did have 6 Jeeps and a truck/trailer combo and was able to park all of in in the parking space provided. The lake was very quiet on our weekend making the morning coffee on the deck seeing the fog lift on the water, listing to the Loons and watching the Eagles.

This Place Has It All and More

This property is settled in a quiet, wooded neighborhood with the lake just beyond the trees. The house is beautiful with the wooded, cabin feel. Each bedroom is roomy, the beds were comfortable, and two of the five bedrooms had a private bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with what you need to fix whatever you bring. The dining table fit our family. The entertainment available between board games, bar games, and movies was fun! We enjoyed sitting around the campfire, bean bags on the lower patio, sitting on the upper deck, and inside the screened in porch. This place has it all and more! We will certainly be returning to this house. The owner was quick to respond to my few inquiries prior to arriving.

Family Get Together

My wife and I stayed here with our 3 adult children, their spouses and our 7 grandchildren. The house was as advertised with many available activities. There was plenty of room in the house so we did not feel cramped. Very nice view. We brought UTV's to enjoy the local trail system and the parking got a little tight, since we had 3 trailers, but was not unmanageable. The only negative would be the one neighboring property was a little sketchy, but you really only notice it when driving in and out. We would stay here again, for sure.

Christmas Memories

This home was beautiful, spacious and inviting. A few minor issues with the 18mo finding random blueberries on the floor. (We didn't bring blueberries) Three of my four boys made the trip with your kids. The other one was at the hospital delivering his first baby. My 7th grandchild. Everyone had a great time, opening presents, playing games, eating wonderful food and playing downstairs in the basement with all the fun activities and games that were there. The owner was easily reached and accommodating. Take pictures when you arrive of any damage you see, we forgot and are being charged for a small hole in a wall we didn't cause. No worries, I'll get it paid, not worth the fight. Would stay here again. Would stay here again.

First impression: This was a beautiful lake home. It looked like it would serve us well. Pre-arrival communications with the host welcoming. So far so good. But the first problem was the thermostat, which was unmanageable. I contacted the host for instructions; he agreed it's a problem. We never made it work; we instead used the electric fireplace, and no one was particularly comfortable. Kitchen: There were NO DISHES! Heavy crockery plates, too few of them for the 17 guests that the listing promises to accommodate, and NO drinking glasses. Okay for wine glasses, okay for rocks glasses, but for water? juice? We had to go to the store to buy paper plates, drinking cups, and eating utensils. Cleanliness: This home needs a serious deep clean. Dead mice in the basement mousetraps, and mouse droppings on the floors next to which extra linens were stored. We removed couch cushions looking for a missing hat, and found crumbs, tissues, napkins, food scraps on the couch platform that had clearly been there for a very long time. Beds: We were a party of far fewer than the 17 potential guests that the home promised to accommodate, but four of those beds were in a bunk situation in the master bedroom; an odd configuration for a master, and not a particularly private room. We had a nice time, but not excellent, and not up to the standards that the listing promised, and that we expected. Very nice host; nice house, but not A+.
