Fine for 1 night

We got upgraded to a suite from a standard room that was booked - I believe the only difference was that the room was larger with nicer decor. However, we could not access the wifi from this room, it didn't matter for us as it was only a short 1-night stay but ordinarily this would have been a problem. Compared with a previous hotel we stayed in I did not feel that Villa Maxine Hotel's buffet breakfast was 'covid secure' - Instead of individually wrapped portions, it was like a pre-covid buffet with all guests handling the same serving utensils from large open platters. The large pool and basketball court are in need of refurbishment - perhaps closed due to a lack of guests - this is only an issue in that it's an eyesore from the balcony. Parking tip! It is a long walk to reception from the first carpark you come to - keep driving down the road and you come to a second entrance with more parking that's just a few steps to reception with suitcases as opposed to going via the pool area and up numerous steps.

Sehr ruhige und schön gepflegte Anlage mit 100 Prozent Erholungsfaktor. Sehr geschmacklich schön eingerichtete geräumige Zimmer. Großes Badezimmer und Balkon mit wunderschönen Meerblick. Sehr gute und ausreichende Essenauswahl beim Frühstück und Abendessen mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick auf das Meer. Ausgezeichneter Service. Personal sehr nett und freundlich. Waren rund um sehr zufrieden. Es gibt / gab wirklich absolut nichts zu bemängeln außer das ich mich frage wieso dieses Hotel keine 4 Sterne hat. Wir können dieses Hotel nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen! Vielen Dank für den super tollen Aufenthalt!

De gerenoveerde kamers zijn zeer mooi. Het extra geld zeker waard. Het hotel is in delen aan het renoveren en daarom is er een verschil tussen oude en nieuwe kamers. Het ontbijt is prima en uitgebreid. Medewerkers zeer service gericht en aardig. Zwembad zou aantrekkelijker kunnen. Water is niet helder en aan de randen zit groene aanslag; moet beter schoongemaakt worden. Geeft geen luxe gevoeld terwijl ze dit wel uit willen stralen. Schoonmaak in de kamers kan ook beter.

Fantastic hotel

We had a 2 night stay as part of our 2 week holiday in another part of Crete. We absolutely loved it. The room and facilitates were really good. Very comfortable beds. Fantastic view from our room big balcony with chairs. Great pool and sun longers, swing seats in lovely grounds. The owners were lovely people and should be so proud of their achievements. Included breakfast was good sitting on the communal balcony enjoying the view. We had dinner one night and were very impressed 15 euros for 3 courses with a choice of 3 mains and buffett for starter and desert. We know the area well and were happy with the location just ouside of the village it was so peaceful and a pleasant stroll along the beach path to the harbour and restaurants . Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

Hôtel agréable et bon rapport qualité/prix

L'hôtel bénéficie d'une vue magnifique notamment depuis la salle du petit-déjeuner, qui est d'ailleurs bien complet et proposant des produits typiques des petit-déjeuner grecques. Le réceptionniste était très agreable. La chambre etait propre. Le rapport qualité prix est plus qu'intéressant. Nous avons eu une grande terrasses pour notre chambre.
