Family Getaway Heaven
We spent the long weekend with our grown children and grandchildren at the South Garden. This place was made for groups like ours. We each had a very private bedroom and our own bathrooms. The shared space and kitchen were roomy and comfortable. The property was BEAUTIFUL, fully equipped with a playground, trampoline, hot tub and hiking trail right out the back door. The host was helpful and friendly and the house was so well stocked and had everything you would ever need. Added bonus: the gardens were AMAZING! Would stay here again with a group for sure.

Great Family Vacation
We just stayed at this beautiful house and property for three nights with my family (14 in total). The property is absolutely beautiful! The waterfall, the hot tub, the flower beds, all the amazing landscaping was second to none. It is very evident that the couple who owns the property (and lives on it), take a lot of care and attention to it. Inside was well laid out for our 4 separate families and we had everything we needed to have a wonderful getaway. I’d recommend for families and extended families for sure. We’ll be back!

Lovely getaway
Our family enjoyed our stay here with plenty of things to do and places to visit. The house provided all the amenities for us and was the perfect layout with separate rooms and bathrooms for each family unit. Thank you for a very memorable family trip!

Fun Family Time

Thank you for hosting us! The place was welcoming and clean, perfect for our large group of 4 families to spend he New Years. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after the short hike located just a few steps behind the house, at our door steps.

Beautiful property and great place for a group
The grounds are beautiful, with lovely flower gardens. The hiking trail provides a gorgeous view on the upper deck and beyond. Caution, this trail is not for everyone as it is quite steep in some areas. The house is large with lots of room and bathrooms for everyone.

Ultimate Vacation Home
Our family (8 adults) stayed at South Garden for 5 days. The house is extraordinary. Very clean. Well equipped. Great kitchen and living area. The bedrooms are all very nice with comfortable beds. The grounds are amazing. Diverse species of flowers surround the yard, back, front and sides! It's easy to write a great review, it's even better to experience this home with all your senses. Harrison Hot Springs is three miles down the road and Agassiz is two or three miles the other way. Fraser River Lodge is only four miles away. Home is a jewel. Jacquie is very responsive. The whole family loved the place. Do not hesitate to book. And enjoy your time together!

Wonderful Property to Stay At
A nice location for a family gathering there were rooms for everyone and the grounds around the house were a great area for the kids to play. Really enjoyed all the flowers and birds, a well-placed bird feeder was fun to watch. Nice hike right out one door with a great view platform. Will be back.

An awesome Christmas getaway!

Can’t wait to come back!
What an amazing property and what an honour it is that it is shared with the public. Thank you so much to our hosts for allowing our family experience your beautiful and special space. The house was perfect with so much room for all of us. Highlights of our trip were the hot tub, garden space, hike in the backyard and the living area where we spent evenings playing games with the whole family. The proximity to the lake and essentials is perfect. We can’t wait to return for another family holiday!

Home has a lovely garden and the swingset goes really high! Kiddos loved it, and adults loved the hot tub. Great place for extended family, or family friends to vacation together.

Great for Families or Friend Groups
The property is HUGE. Our kids (4 and 6) loved that there are two big yards to run around in (one is a giant lawn surrounded by a gorgeous garden and the other has a swing set and sand pit). The rooms in the house have lots of beds in them with en-suites which makes it great for extended family or multiple friend families. For example, two of the downstairs rooms have queen or king bed plus a bunk bed with trundle so a family with kids can all stay in one room if they wish. As one reviewer said - it feels like visiting Gramma & Grandpa’s place - it is comfortable, family friendly, and lots of space. We would definitely go again.

Incredible Property
This is a great property for a family gathering. The beautiful gardens and yard provide a great setting for lawn activities or just relaxing. The location is great for golfing, enjoying Harrison Lake or for last minute shopping. The house has all you need to preparing meals and sitting a big group of eight. My family thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and look forward to another visit.

Perfect replacement for Grandma and Grandpa's
I chose this property as it is very similar to Grandma and Grandpa's. Due to the pandemic that is not an option. This was a perfect substitute. A big yard, swing set (huge hit), building a fire, hot tub and just space that our apartment dwelling kids are not used to. A perfect family getaway. Thank you

Fantastic -(read below for bed info**)
What a completely unique home and property! The house was stocked with everything you need (plus more). I've rented about 5 other VRBO's before and this is the first one that had EXTRA pillow,sheets, towels, plates, cutlery, highchairs, table chairs, etc! I was beyond thrilled with that. Gorgeous setting/yard/layout. And the hike behind the house is incredible... my kids did it 3 times in 2 days. We loved the huge dining room table, was actually able to seat our whole family! The only reason I said 4 stars for the "accuracy of online listing" is because we couldn't understand the bedroom situation from what was listed online. Our family likes to plan ahead of who-is-sleeping-where. So here it is: 3 bedrooms downstairs -(king bed and bunk with single, double, and trundle) -(Queen bed) -(Queen bed and bunk with single and double) 2 bedrooms upstairs (kitchen,living on this floor) -(Queen Bed) -(Queen Bed) **Each bedroom has a FULL bathroom!!! WOWZA! and Goooooood beds with good sheets.(Not crappy old ones from their previous house or something)

Absolutely gorgeous property!
My family stayed here during a wedding over the Labour Day long weekend. The place is spectacular and was able to accommodate all 16 of us very comfortably. My family loved taking pictures around the property as the flowers and vegetation were breathtaking. I highly recommend this property for large gatherings. Jacquie was very easy to contact and very accommodating. We had the greatest experience during our stay here.

A beautiful place for a family vacation
This beautiful property suited our needs perfectly! There was ample space for our whole family to enjoy. We appreciated the fact that the property included the things we needed for our two year old grandson, including a crib, high chair, toys and books. We loved exploring the beautiful grounds that surround the house. It’s location close to Harrison Hot Springs is very convenient. Thank you, Jacquie, for helping us find a babysitter for the evening of the wedding. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer, but hopefully we’ll be back someday soon!

Amazing Weekend!
Our group rented this property for the weekend while attending a friend's wedding. Everyone in the group was impressed with the property and loved their stay, especially each couple having their own washrooms! We had more than enough room (inside and out), and enjoyed the hot tub, waterfall, lawn and the stunning garden. The extremely well- stocked kitchen made cooking for a large group a breeze. The property owners were present for an easy check- in and answered all of our questions. We chatted with them a few times throughout our stay and they were lovely! Various members of our group are eager to rent this property again, we loved it that much! Other friends (who were staying in Harrison Hot Springs) visited one afternoon and were very jealous of our accommodations! Would definitely recommend this property to anyone!

Another perfect stay
Short and sweet: the stay was perfect. Our group stayed here for the second time and it was as good an experience as we all remembered from a year ago. The rooms/beds are plentiful and comfortable, there is a lot of space for everyone, the outdoor areas are beautiful. Really couldn't ask for a better spot to stay. I could go on and on, but you get the idea =). 5 stars.

Wonderful place to stay
It was an amazing place for our family reunion. From the space & activities for the kids to having a bathroom with each bedroom was a bonus with a large group. The cottage was great for the grandparents to have quiet downtime. The yard & flower garden is a beautiful tranquil sanctuary for quiet time. To many positives to list. Wonderful for kids and large families
We had a great time with our kids at South Garden. Jacquie and John ensure that families are really welcome here. The garden is amazing and we loved the extra touches like the play equipment. We had everything we needed. The only minor feedback we would offer is to have cotton sheets on all the beds! Thanks for having us, Jacquie and John. We would love to come again!

Good location, beautiful natural surroundings, garden and lawn very well laid out and maintained to enjoy many entertaining games supplied by South Garden. Amazing house with 5 bedrooms and a big room for socializing and a very complete kitchen to serve many people. We have enjoyed it tremendously. P.S. my wife would recommend to change all bath towels for new ones if possible white ones.

Absolutely fantastic
The photos and description don't do it justice: this place is amazing. Our group (16 adults, aged 25-40) was comfortably accommodated and couldn't have asked for more. Property comes with all amenities you could ask to suit a larger group. Plenty of cutlery, extra chairs, even extra folding tables; our group was never left wanting. Even enough bathrooms so no one was waiting! Homeowner is quick to respond to queries over email leading up to our stay, and makes their phone number available if there was any issues (which there weren't): it's a nice touch to ease any worries we might have had. Truly a wonderful setting for our group's getaway, and we'll definitely try to get back here again. Thank you Jacqui!

Beautiful setting! The garden alone gives off a serene vibe🌹
We rented both the house and cottage for our annual summer get away with our close friends. Our kids range in age from 13 to early 20s. Everyone had fun as there is ample space to gather as a community. We used the front porch to set up portable tables to eat together. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, plates, utensils and everything in between. The rooms are comfortable, each with its own bathroom. No glitches from time of booking to check out. Jacquie is a such pleasure to work with. We would definitely stay again if we choose Agassiz for our summer get away in the future.

Great Spot for a Family Reunion
We rented the house and the cottage for a recent reunion. It was very convenient to have everyone at the same location. We prepared our group meals in the well appointed kitchen and on the bbq. The gardens are truly spectacular and a wonderful backdrop for games and for photos. The children enjoyed the space to run and play, and the adults appreciated the beauty of the setting. Wonderful getaway with the girlfriends at this amazing property
My 5 girlfriends and myself have been going away together annually or semi annually for the past 30 years. So this being an anniversary of sorts, we decided to stay at South Garden. It did not disappoint! It was large enough for 4 of us to have our own rooms and only 2 had to share. (We did not have the cottage) That being said there were 3 huge suites downstairs with 3 beds in 2 of them, so we all had our own beds. At our age, this is necessary!!! All bedrooms were ensuite and the beds and linens were so comfortable... the house is lovely and really well set up for groups. The grounds are out of this world. Jacquie and John are master gardeners! The kitchen is well equipped which is always a perk. Everyone loved the place and we all agreed that it was definitely somewhere we would like to return to. We were sorry that we could not meet the owners but hope to next time around. Lots to do in and around this property. You should go!!!!

We Loved it... Again....
Fifteen girlfriends got together from all over Canada. We had all gone to high school together in Northern Manitoba. We were celebrating the 70th Birthdays of 2 of the girls. We had everything we needed. This was our second time there. Recommend it to anyone with a large group. Couple of little glitches but the owners were gracious and very helpful.
