"This is a family run motel, and I showed up late enough for my reserved room that I had to wake up the host with the doorbell at 1 a.m. or so. I realize that this is normal for those who run motels and hotels, but her warm welcome even at that hour stood out."

"We love staying at the Garst House whenever we’re in town to visit family. We love the interesting history of the place, and all the old furnishing. Everything is old, and yet, spotlessly clean. It’s like staying at Grandma’s house."
