"We stayed here during a New Brunswick road trip. The hotel was lovely with a fabulous setting and we received a warm welcome from the friendly reception staff. Our room was big, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel has a restaurant, the 1809, which I would recommend. One thing to bear in mind, if you’re from out of town, is that Miramichi is two settlements - the business district (Chatham, where the hotel is) and downtown (Newcastle) which are a good distance apart (especially at the moment as the main bridge across the river is closed). My only criticism of the Rodd is that it’s pricey for what it is, especially as breakfast is not included."

"Our room was on the smaller size, the bathroom was very clean, the shower head was very powerful liked that.beds were clean and comfy. There are no USB ports so bring your plug in part. There is no elevator, but it's only 2 smaller sets of stairs. Their complimentary breakfast was really good, they serve, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, waffles toast etc. Their coffee comes in mild, medium and strong. The staff at breakfast were friendly and helpful. It's not a fancy hotel but a great little spot for a night or two. We would go again."
