I rarely like to give less than good reviews, but this poor place needs some serious help. It feels there was/is no concern for the appointments inside the home. It's a hodge/podge of everything from a low end thrift store......mis-matched everything: Bedding, towels, dishes, furniture, all around decor.
Upon arriving, the home had an odor that needed windows open to help flow the odor out. There was already a window open by the front door with an air purifier adjacent. (Bedroom window was open too). The yard is not maintained, therefore "seasonal" goat heads or burrs are EVERYWHERE. You cannot walk barefoot let alone let your pet walk through the yard. In less than a few minutes of letting our dog go outside, I had to help him 3 times get the burrs out of his feet. We then had to keep ONLY to the gravel road for him to potty. It wasn't possible to use the yard whatsoever. I called the HOST who said I needed to call VRBO, who said I needed call the HOST. Complete run around. Then it was too late to contact anyone. An email was received apologizing for the "dry" yard. It was so very disappointing to stay 5 days and can't go in the yard that is "PET FRIENDLY". Unfortunately, given it's high season, there wasn't anywher else to stay. We grinned and bared it and chalked it up to one of life's little adventures. ASIDE from the house, we had a GREAT time crabbing, sunning on the beach, trying all the local chowders and meeting up with great friends!
