Turned up at this hotel to be told that expedia should have contacted me to say my booking was cancelled. The hotel was about to become a afghan refugee hostel for the next 6 months. None of this was told to me or my other 5 travelers and had to book elsewhere instead.

You get what you pay for
I stayed here two nights earlier the week before. That time was a really nice warm room. The most recent time the room was down a maze of corridors, up and down stairs. I could find my way out in the morning! The room itself was pretty cramped and very cold. Hard to get the heating and hot water to come on. Breeze came through the window right down my neck. It's a shame because the the slightly more expensive rooms are great value, this cheaper one leaves you feeling like you slept in a tent rather than a hotel

Avoid if you can
Needed to extend our stay in Aberdeen because of illness in family. Didn't expect too much as price was pretty reasonable for central Aberdeen. Hotel is very run down and despite stating that rooms were 'deep cleaned', there was dust everywhere! As we stayed for 2 weeks, there was no room service, which we understood, but trying to arrange fresh laundry was hard going. Reception staff varied from friendly to downright rude and uninterested! Met our needs on this occasion, but won't be back as very basic, very rundown and in need of a good facelift. Can't believe Tourist Board give this place 3 stars.

Best value for money Hotel in Aberdeen.
I often use this hotel when staying in Aberdeen. It is one of the best value for money options in the city. Reception are very helpful as are the cleaning staff. The rooms are very comfortable wjth all amenities and the rooms I stayed in have a full sized bath and the water is always piping hot. The bar and restaurant attached to the hotel remain closed for the moment but I am sure once these open again it will be a definite boon to the hotel. Large car park is located directly behind the hotel.

Never Again
Never again. Had to move rooms due to broken toilet, they then put my in a corridor with DHSS emergency accommodation. Junkies and Drunks everywhere. Heard one guy at 12:15am shouting that he was going to slit someones throat. Avoid this place like the plague. You'd be better with a cardboard box and a shop doorway.

Great value place to rest your head with no frills
Unbelievable value - the room was half the price of what my cab home would have been. My only slight critique is there was no toilet paper, which I’ve never experienced in a hotel room and the bathroom whilst clean (the most important thing) was somewhat dated.

We booked a twin room but on arrival wechad a double room. Couldnt be bothered changing as we were running late. Trying to get into room on returning was a nightmare. Codes didnt work. Took us ages. At one point we thought we d sleep on the steps

Terrible Hotel
Badly maintained, tired hotel in desperate need of renovation. Hallways and room were far from clean. Paint and wallpaper falling of the walls. Wouldn't stay here again even if it was free!

Terrible stay
Our stay in the hotel was terrible the rooms were dirty, the carperts were soaking wet, the hotel staff was rude there was no bar or restaurant and could not get a drink to give my 9 year ols regular medication. It was taken up to 15 minutes to heat up showers. There was people sleeping on stairs which police had to remove. There was sockets hanging off walls and blood on walls and covers on beds I would not recommend this hotel.

The room was so small I am heavily pregnant and I almost could not fit behind the bed. The room was dirty not hoovered and blood in the bath tub. It was so hot being on the main Street we could not open the windows and no AC. The street was so noisy. TV not working and so old. No breakfast. Only the location was great will not go back

Won’t be back
Glad I was only staying one night, cleanliness of room was poor, toilet not cleaned from previous guest by look of it. Made me wonder what else hadn’t been cleaned. Room very dated Had booked a deluxe room, would have hated to see what the standard rooms looked like if mines was ‘deluxe’

Cheap place to sleep OK, not great otherwise
Good points. Cheap. Great location, free wifi. Nice skylight with electric blind. No unexpected charges. Bad points. Big wet patch on carpet going into the bathroom on arrival, still there when left. Bathroom door physically couldn't close. Wheel on bed broken. Exposed wires on the heated towel rail which was turned on. Phoned on WhatsApp at night to ask if I've checked in by woman who checked us in....form in room said 10am checkout and charged if you're late but my booking said 11am.tried to WhatsApp to confirm. Read and ignored till the day after I left and had tried to call hotel in 2 numbers provided no one answered and no staff on desk. Parking awful. Free for all. Tight spaces. Big skip out the back first night. Some spaces blocking others in. Came down to a cracked wing mirror

After initial setback of going to the room (with the same room number) in the part of the hotel that was being renovated our stay turned out to to be a pleasant one. The hotel is ideally located just off of Union St. with easy access to public transport, stores, restaurants, bars, etc. The room was clean and front desk staff pleasant.

Myself and a colleague stayed at OYO Flagship Brentwood Aberdeen last week, and it was OUTSTANDING! The staff were helpful and friendly, and the Rooms were excellent quality and also tremendous value for money. This is a Hotel i would recommend to anyone coming to Aberdeen. The parking facility was a huge help to us, as we were transporting equipment for an Event we were running, and so having the Parking onsite (free), also made this a 1st choice Hotel for us. Everything else about the Hotel was excellent too! Well Done & Thank You! We'll definitely be back!

We were booked into the oyb Brentwoord but when trying to get in to the hotel it was closed.we had a phone number to call and they said they had booked us into the oyb lost guess house all I say it was certainly lost it was not what we where expecting it said it was a 3star no chance it was 3star lucky if it would make 1star It spoiled the September weekend

Arrived there with 2 children to find the hotel closed. Place was in darkness. It took a local resident to come out of there house to inform me the hotel has been closed for 7 mths. Quick enough to take my money off me.

When i arrived at brentwood there was no one there.i phoned the hotel no answer. Phoned oyo in london and they could not help me (now i was stranded in Aberdeen). I phoned hotels.com and stayed on the line while they tried to help me. It cost me £20 in phone calls but finally hotels.com managed to get me in else where thank goodness. However i had originally ordered a room with a double bed and ended up in a single bed in what appeared to be an old basement with no toilet or shower in the room i was also charged extra to put my car in the car park. In short this was a terrible experience.
