"We had a great stay at the resort. Right by Lake Thun with great views, good food and drinks, and close to the bus stop to visit nearby towns/stations. The spa pool and sundeck were great to spend time in and not crowded. The room was clean and we were provided a fan at no cost for warmer days. Staff was attentive and polite. We would have liked more smoke-free outdoor areas including dining but otherwise we had a great time and would definitely stay there again. "

"In a lovely spot in the old town of Fribourg. Loads of things to do by foot although it is quite hilly. The lady on reception was amazing, really friendly and very helpful. If going back to the train station use the funicular, quite an experience (powered by sewage!) and takes all the hills out which is handy when you have cases"

"Our stay at the Bären was fantastic. The staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating. The Hotel and room is very clean. We were able to do early check in and our room had a little fridge and microwave, which was fantastic because we travelled with a toddler. They also put in a little bridge between the two single beds so we could all sleep in the big bed, no baby bed needed. "The hotel is very nice but very small. When large groups are staying the common areas tend to be very crowded. Especially in the morning during breakfast and evenings. When it wasn’t crowded it was lovely though and location to transportation is great."

"The property is very clean, exceeded my expectations. They provided basic necessities, towels, toiletries, kitchen is well equipped. Linens and beddings are clean and comfortable. There is a designated parking infront of the property which makes it very easy to unload our stuff. Location is quiet, about 10 minute walk to the tram station. Uber is also available. No receptionist on site but concierge is one phone call away, very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this place!"

"Our room was in what looked like a new expansion of the hotel. On the first floor everything was modern and clean.Bed was comfortable and bathroom, although small had very good lighting and decent towels. The things I didn't like about it were, the hair dryer was obviously an old one and didn't work well. Soaps provided were generic and supposed to be used for hand,hair and body. Which I didn't care for.The room was very warm even though the outside temps were in the 40's o F. The a/c did not...
