「The room was very large, and cozy, with kichen space with dinning table next to a living area where you can sit and contemplate the beautiful sunrise. The nanager of the sky lodge, was very attentive and kind. He made us a reservation to see a beautiful dance show. My advice is to make a reservation with him. We had a wonderful time but it is better to be safe than sorry.」

「I was visiting a friend volunteering for the Peace Corps just down the road so my location was critical. Was pleasantly surprised upon arriving at the White Sands resort. My room was well apportioned and very clean. It looked out through palms to a beautiful white sand beach and ocean. They even strung a hammock just outside my door which made for excellent down time. 「I didn't get what I expected in booking a deluxe king room. The air condition didn't work, the TV didn't work, cupboards were broken, there was no mini bar stock in the fridge, no tea/coffee supplies, only the kettle. We were moved to a standard room and still the air con didn't work. The towels were not replenish the whole time we were there.」

「観光客より地元の関係者が多く泊まっていました。勢いはないけれど湯が出るシャワーがありがたい。朝食はベーコンエッグトーストが調理で出され、あとはシリアル、果物、飲み物はセルフ。小粋なカフェ兼レストランも併設。中心部までは徒歩で30分近くかかりますが、海を見ながら散歩がてら歩くのもよいし、タクシーを使えばすぐです。スタッフがとってもフレンドリーで、白人系やアジア系のホテルのようにきめ細かいことはできないかもしれないけれど、おおらかに朗らかに接してくれるので、あぁここはトンガなんだなぁ、と思える素敵な経験ができました。」

「空港から事前に宿へ連絡し、手配していた乗り合いタクシーで夜10時過ぎに到着。夜10時でもセキュリティスタッフがいるので、対応してくれる。空港からのタクシー料金は５０パアンガ払ったが、ロッジに置いてある案内にもそう書かれているので目安としてほしい。部屋は快適で、網戸もきれい。共用バスルームはこまめな清掃を希望したいが、シャワーにお湯がでるのはうれしい。スタッフはフレンドリーで困ったことがあれば、相談すれば、助けてくれる。朝食はトースト、エッグ、フルーツのコンティネンタルで無料。立地は中心部から徒歩5分、港から徒歩１０分で観光、ホエールスイミングにもおすすめ。wi-fiも使えるので、最低限のデータ通信に問題はない。」
