Mayan Princess Beach & Dive Resort - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"The property was nice. Food was good. The main pool is nice but needs a lot of tiles replaced. Snack bar food needs improved, a lot of the food was room temp. There is no snorkeling in front of the resort,BUT go to the beach turn left walk about 10-12 min to the end of the beach and snorkel about 150 feet out and you'll find excellent snorkeling"
"The property grounds are beautiful and the staff is so nice. The restaurant on the property is AMAZING as well. We truly enjoyed our week and look forward to returning again soon."
"This was my 1st time visiting Roatan, Honduras and staying here for my solo birthday trip. The island is beautiful. The people are so nice and welcoming. Prime location to stay. Food and activities are walking distance. I felt safe walking in the daytime and at night. Raquel and Paola are so nice and helpful. The drivers are amazing. Shoutout to David. Views are immaculate. Room is clean. I watched YouTube with no connector needed!! The water is refreshing. Please everyone visit Roatan, Honduras even once. Its such a magical precious place. I took pictures with dolphins. I visited the animal sanctuary named Maya Eden. I went to the Rum Factory and the Chocolate Factory. I had great breakfast from the hotel and amazing seafood cuisine at a local spot. I went horseback riding. I fed tarpoons. I visited the mangroves. The hotel prepared a complimentary birthday dinner experience for me. I will return, Roatan, Honduras has my heart. Bring a lot of dollars so you can tip everybody."
"We loved our stay at Puerta Azul. They have their own dock to start snorkeling and kayaking from, as well as boat pickups of you prefer tours to reach farther destinations.
Breakfast onsite was great with a weekly rotating menu. One thing to note is that the onsite restaurant is the only convenient but expensive option for lunch and dinner. The main road is not comfortably walkable, although we did do it a few nights for more variety. The front desk can also call taxis for you.
The reef outside had some amazing snorkeling and was the highlight of the stay. We saw an octopus, 2 types of rays, jellyfish, squid, and countless fish species over the span of 5 days. Very few other hotels have set up here so we had the reef all to ourselves."
