こじんまりしたホテル。鍵の管理は注意を！
チューリッヒ中央駅からは、スーツケースを持ちながらだと石畳みの道路やトラムの線路もり、距離があり、歩きづらいが川沿いの景色は良い。入口は1Fレストランバー内、もしくは横のドアから階段を上るため少々わかりにくい。外出時、カギの管理に注意を。フロント横に、部屋の鍵と引き換えに玄関(レストランバー横の入口)の鍵を取り出すこと。 寝ている間ベッドで虫さされをしたため、残念であった。

Dear Mi, Thank you for taking the time to post a Review. I can understand that our key system might be a bit unusual and I am sorry that it was inconvenient for you. Yes, Hotel and Restaurant have separate doors, however you can use the Elevator from the Restaurant to get to the reception on first floor. 正直あまり期待はしてませんでしたが、とても居心地よく過ごせました。トリプルルームは思ったよりも広く、バスタブもあり快適でした。チューリッヒ湖もすぐ近くだったので、朝はランニングに行きました。朝食が少し物足りなかったかな？

Polina was very helpful, all hotel staff very pleasant. Public transportation stop 2min walk from hotel, short ride to airport by public transportation. Beds comfy and room as advertised. Big rooms we stayed in Malibu room

The desk clerk patiently waited for us past the usual check in time since we blindly took the train and walked 10-15 minutes to the hotel. Little did we factor in the steps taken with 6 luggages. We loved how convenient it was!

Nice hotel in Zurich
Hotel California was pretty much as advertised. It was a nice room in the downtown area. The service was good and the room was clean. We did have to park a few blocks away but that was expected. It was a little difficult to find the hotel initially while driving but that's not the fault of the hotel. It was not a free breakfast so we went to the Starbucks less than a block away.

Great location. Check-in is on the first floor. No iron in the room. Parking is a challenge. You have to use puplic parking and walk to the hotel..not convenient.

Tight space. Great location
We arrived 20 min early and was told to wait 30 min before we could check in. The young lady didn’t even check my name. 20 min later I asked a young man and he picked up the paperwork that had been sitting on the desk all along. Not a great start. Room was very small but clean. No A/C so I wouldn’t stay during the summer for sure! Location is really great - walking distance to lots of cool stuff. Overall: great location, very small, expensive

Hotel California was a wonderful stay in Zurich near many city hot spots and about a 10min walk from the train station. Marta at reception was incredible. Our trains were delayed over an hour causing us to arrive around 23:00. She personally stayed for us at the hotel to ensure we were able to get into our rooms despite arriving after normal check in hours. The hotel was great and met all of our needs for a wonderful time in Switzerland.

Hole in the wall hotel— no AC, no parking— BUT very friendly staff, amazing location. Good for budget travelers, young travelers, couples with no kids (hence luggage).

WARNING: Charged twice for full cost of room
Was charged twice for the full cost of the room. Paid cash in full for room at stay, after checking out was billed FULL amount again on credit card (540 CHF). Hotel California refused to refund. Hotels.com would not assist. Service is terrible and unorganized. Front desk was extremely rude and only there limited hours. I notified the hotel via email that I would be arriving early at 11:30 AM. When I arrived, I called via the intercom and greeted the person in German. The woman who answered then started yelling at me through the intercom in German; everyone in the street and at the restaurant below could hear. Eventually another guest let me in. When I went to the reception desk, she was sitting in the back room and ignored me for some time before she finally came out. She did not even greet me or ask my name, just grabbed my bag and said "I'll see you at 3" and went back into the office. Check in that afternoon was very slow as they asked everyone to come at the same time. They had papers all over the desk and seemed confused whether people had paid for their rooms. They could not find my bag anywhere. They then went to knock on the doors of the other guests to ask if they had taken my bag. They asked any guest with blue luggage whether they had taken my bag by mistake. The staff accused other guests of stealing luggage because they were too unorganized to keep track themselves. So unprofessional! AC was not working well, internet was spotty. Only upside is the location.

Great location and breakfast was good. There was no AC in the room. We had to keep windows open that helped but a little hence I give it 4 from 5 star.

Four of us stayed two nights and room never got serviced. Depleted towels supply and beds did not get made. When asked about it said they tried but we were napping in the room. Well, leave a note saying you tried and ask us when you can come back? "Fridge" was turned off and we were told it could not be used for cold storage.

Regrettably the restaurant staff would smoke outside right below our window which had to remain open to try to keep the room cool, the fan sucked in the cigarette smoke and from the kitchen exhaust too. Giving us constant sore throat and sinus for our sleep. Also talking loudly in the small ally making it difficult to sleep. The breakfast was very minimal for the price charged (Switzerland is expensive to eat in in general though), one day no coffee or hot water for tea. It was clean and the hotel staff were friendly.
