The Lake's End - Beautiful Lakefront Log Home in the White Mountains

Welcome to The Lake's End. Located on an acre of lakefront property in the White Mountains, this property is sure to be any outdoor enthusiast's dream come true. Enjoy swimming and fishing largemouth bass just steps from your door. The cabin is also just minutes from some of New Hampshire's premier hiking locations including Franconia Ridge. In the winter, the property also has good proximity to some of New Hampshire and Vermont's top ski mountains.

This house is located off the Kancamagus Highway, home the best leaf-peeping drive in New Hampshire!

Snowmobilers - connect to Rt 105 that runs just above the property and hook into New Hampshire's state-wide snowmobile trail system.

This lakefront property is also located in The Mountain Lakes Recreational Community, which gives you access to a playground, basketball court, tennis courts, and baseball field.

At the end of a day of adventuring you can return to the cabin which features 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeping accommodations for 10 (1 king bed, 2 queen beds, 1 "full size" bunk bed, 1 full bed, as well as a pull-out couch, if needed), air conditioning, cable TV, long-distance phone service, high-speed Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, and a gas grill hooked up to the house's propane (so you will never run out!).

The house also features a whole-house backup generator so you are guaranteed to never be without power, heat, or air conditioning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lake’s End! Alex made check-in a breeze. The house was extremely clean and spacious, very comfortable for relaxing with the family. We especially loved the chef’s style kitchen with plenty of well stocked items for cooking. Enjoyed using the canoe on the lake and swimming at the resident beach. The views were spectacular and location was perfect for paddle boarding and fishing off the dock.

Great property, awesome host, home just as nice as pictured! Great location in western white mountains; quiet area with beautiful lake. Far enough out for relaxing time but everything you need is just 10 minutes away. Furnishings comfortable and clean, everything you need for a nice family retreat in the NH wilderness.

Beautiful lake house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed, every single bed was super comfortable, the lake is peaceful, we enjoyed fishing. It was nice to have extra bonus room in the walkout basement for remote work. Nice strong internet was key for us. The house is beautiful and well furnished for comfort. Central air was so nice as we had some humid weather. Great stay, we hope to get back.

Nice quiet lakefront property

Overall our two families consisting of seven people had a pleasant visit to this lakefront home. It is quiet and beautiful and only 20 or 30 minutes from many big attractions in the White Mountains area. A couple of comments to make, however, it should probably be communicated in the listing that the master bedroom is an open loft to the main living area, which makes it a little bit challenging for folks sleeping and using the bathroom upstairs and not having much privacy or quiet early in the morning or late at night. This was a challenging sleeping arrangement. I would also like to mention that the basement level which can sleep up to six or seven people has no dressers, furniture or storage closets, forcing everyone on that level to live out of a suitcase for an entire week. We also found certain common items surprisingly missing from the kitchen including a regular size pot to boil water or pasta in, and other basic items such as salt.

Needs some TLC

At first glance the property is very steep to the water, the landscaping and wooden retaining structures are in very poor condition, and the yard was very swampy. Beautiful knotty pine interior but needs a serious cleaning. I was very disappointed with the condition of the grill, although forewarned that it may have a burned out heat deflector - it was unusable and unsightly. It took up and entire side of the deck and had numerous old, rusty grill brushes and metal tins. The yard is a steep, swampy drop to the small dock which was where we spent alot of time. Despite the water being only 2 feet deep, it was a hot week and the shallow lake was a welcome relief. I did email the owner before our stay and during but it took a couple of days to respond. For the money. I expected better maintenance.

Gorgeous cabin with amazing views

We've stayed in several cabins in the Mt Lakes District and this was by far the most comfortable cabin of them all. The kitchen was well-equipped, the central AC was very much needed for the few hot July days we had and the view was incredible. This is such a well-cared for home and we truly didn't want to leave. Don't hesitate to book this one as I can see this filling up fast! Thank you, Alex!!!

The House and the Host are Amazing!

The Lake's End is so beautiful inside and out! The space is comfortable for a full family to stay in, with plenty of space to come together or spread out. The view is amazing and the activities available on the lake are so nice to be able to take advantage of. The whole atmosphere was very calming.The host was very helpful and accommodating. I had made a mistake in the booking and he patiently worked through it with me and VRBO reps until we got it solved. When a repair was needed, he jumped on solving it quickly. And he made the whole experience even more personal by calling ahead of the stay to make sure we were all set.Overall, this stay fit our needs perfectly! We all appreciated getting to enjoy this wonderful space!

Wonderful Cabin

This cabin was probably the best rental we have ever stayed in. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and Alex answered my questions quickly and honestly. The area is quiet and peaceful and there was a great view from the deck that we used every day. I enjoyed using the provided canoe and walking around the neighborhood with our dog. It was nice to have access to a pool and tennis courts. The only negatives were that the lake, although beautiful, wasn't great for swimming (in my opinion) and the backyard was a bit soggy and muddy near the fire pit area due to a constant stream of water down the slope of the yard. We had a great week and would highly recommend The Lakes End.

Summer at the lakes end

Alex was an amazing host, communication was great. The house had everything we needed. Location was perfect, we loved relaxing out on the porch or on the dock enjoying the lake views. Big Eddy (swimming hole) right down the street is always our favorite swimming spot to visit. We had a blast and we would absolutely stay here again.

Amazing stay at this incredible home !!

We had stayed at this home several years ago and were very happy to be able to go back and stay here again. Alex is a great homeowner and was always available if we needed him. The area is so quiet and nice, and the house is so clean and spacious and we lacked for nothing. The lake was peaceful and warm and surrounded by natural beauty. We had some bear friends come visit us in the backyard and we were able to safely watch them from the upper deck. We had another amazing stay and will most likely come back in the future. Thanks Alex for everything!!
