The Bear Lodge is a great place to stay if you are looking to explore the Catskills area, as it is very close to multiple trails, grocery stores, and little shops! The cabin is situated in a very friendly and quiet neighbourhood, and we even had the surprise luck of getting to watch some adorable whitetail does and their fawns from the back deck of the cabin. The cabin has a very comfortable, laid-out floor plan and is neatly decorated with bear decor. There were three of us on our trip, and we very much appreciated having the two bathrooms and also the multiple fans we could use for warmer days since the cabin does not have AC. We enjoyed using the grill on the back deck and having a TV so we could watch the Stanley Cup Finals. ;)We really appreciated Matt and his quick responses to any of our questions and messages. Very grateful that we could stay here during our time in New York.

Quiet and cozy!

Our stay was great! It was located in a small quiet neighborhood that was close to many small towns. The accessible bathrooms/walkin showers were perfect for my elderly mother. Matt was kind enough to check in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

I rented this house for a weekend getaway for a wedding in the area. Everything we could possibly need was supplied by the hosts. Plenty of nearby shops to stock the kitchen with anything you could think of for your stay. Would highly recommend booking this place. Hope to stay there again sometime. Went with a few friends to get away from the city and I could not recommend a better place. The home is so warm and cozy, the check in process is super simple. We felt very safe in the home the whole time we were there, and Matt is very responsive whenever we had a question. Such a beautiful and quiet area to spend some time back in the woods.
