Great stay next to a park!

It was clean & spacious.

We had an overall great stay at Princes Street Suites, with the location being the biggest highlight. The starting point (Stop 1) for all of the hop-on, hop-off bus tours is right outside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing around Edinburgh. The apartment-style accommodations were well equipped, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We also appreciated the option for a late checkout, which made our departure much less stressful. The staff was friendly and accommodating—especially during the unexpected heat wave. Although the property doesn’t have air conditioning, they quickly provided us with two fans, which helped significantly. A couple of things to be aware of: We expected one of our rooms to have a queen bed based on the booking information, but both rooms had full-size beds. Also, while the suites are generally nice, the floors, walls, and some of the furnishings showed noticeable wear, with stained flooring and marked-up walls. Given the price and how the property is advertised, we expected the rooms to be in better condition. One important tip for future travelers: taxis and Ubers cannot pick up or drop off directly in front of the hotel because it’s located on a bus-only street. Be prepared to walk a short distance with your luggage to meet your driver. Overall, the unbeatable location, helpful staff, and well-equipped suites made for an enjoyable stay, though some updates and better room maintenance would make the experience better
