Lieber nicht...

Etwas ältere Unterkunft, ausserhalb des Dorfes. Muffiger Geruch im Zimmer, nicht sauber, musste zuerst einen halb ausgetrockneten Frosch mit einem haufen Spinnweben am Körper aus dem Badezimmer entsorgen... War früher sicher gut, doch wenn man nichts pflegt und nicht renoviert sieht es eben so aus. Eher nicht zu empfehlen.

Arrived around 11pm due to a accident on the highway, cld ahead and it was no issue at all. The room have everything we needed including dish soap, and dish towels. Though the room smelled damp due to the humidity, and there is no curtain in the bathroom. Nice spot would stay again.

A welcoming paradise.

The Rose Cottage is the most elegant and accomodating stay I ever had with hotels.com. It was like a luxury gated plantation. Not your average hotel room.

Traditionelle Afrikanische Rondavel mit Charm

Sehr schöne Lodge mit grossem Garten und eibem Schwimmbad. Das Haupthaus sehr schön in einem traditionellen Stil. Die Rondavel mit einer Küche und Bad. Gute Lage, sehr nettes Personal (Familien geführtes Hotel).

Schöne Lodge aber sehr unfreundlicher Service

Wir hatten am 24. Dezember für eine Nacht reserviert. Da wir am Anreisetag gegen 12 Uhr ankamen und noch eine Wanderung unternehmen wollten, baten wir, unser Gepäck abstellen zu dürfen. Als wir am Außentor klingelten, wurden wir direkt darauf hingewiesen, dass Check-in erst ab 15 Uhr möglich sei... Schließlich durften wir doch das Anwesen betreten und sogar in unsere Hütte (Nr. 1) einchecken. Dabei wurden wir gefragt, ob wir Frühstück für 100 ZAR Aufpreis p.P. dazubuchen wöllten. Als ich meine Buchungsbestätigung inkl. Frühstück vorlegte, wurde mir nur gesagt, der gezahlte Preis beinhalte kein Frühstück und wir müssten wissen, ob wir Frühstück haben wöllten oder nicht. Am Heiligabend wollte ich nicht streiten und bezahlte, fand dieses Verhalten allerdings sehr unverschämt. Am nächsten Morgen nahmen wir schließlich das Frühstück. Der Service war jedoch ziemlich langsam.... Zur Unterkunft selbst: die Hütte war etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber und zweckmäßig ausgestattet (inkl. Küchenutensilien). Die Lodge selbst mit umliegendem Park war sehr schön. Da es kühl war und abends regnete, sind wir allerdings in unserer Hütte geblieben

Wonderful Zulu hut room

We loved the Zulu hut room with ensuite bathroom and kitchenette. The grounds were beautiful with blossoming roses and lovely gardens. The breakfast was also very good. We very much enjoyed our stay

Excellent hotel Good access to 'berg midlands

Peaceful setting and just what we needed for a break from the city. A very well run establishment with good attention to detail. A perfect stop off point to venture into the area.
