I emailed ahead with my train details and the staff was ready for my arrival. Charlotte warmly welcomed me at check-in. My room was already prepared, so I was able to settle in right away. She also kindly printed my Windsor Castle tickets, which I had overlooked needed to be printed in advance. Charlotte went above and beyond, offering a great fish and chips recommendation at my request and generously allowing me a late checkout the next day—extending it by two hours to noon. Tips & Recommendations: Dining: The Boatman serves excellent food. Timing: Most of Windsor winds down early on Monday evenings (by 8 PM), but the sunset along the River Thames is beautiful. Sightseeing: In October, Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays—an ideal time to enjoy The Long Walk with fewer crowds."
