"This was a lovely quiet location which was very relaxing. The property we stayed in was lovely,my only disappointment was the bed was uncomfortable and both pillows were really flat. This however would not put us off staying again,we would just bring along our own pillows,and although the bed wasn’t very comfy,we could cope with this just for one night. "1) Checkin details were not provided - I had to contact Hotels.com and wait ±1hr outside in the windy street to get these. Checkin was 4pm but I couldnt get in until 90 mins later. 2) Once inside the building; Entrance hall filthy with full black bags in corner, wall staining, filthy carpets, laundry cages strewn. No-one around at all, felt very unsafe. 3) Once inside the flat, it felt like someone had just left in a rush, but I couldnt be sure until I had gone through the apartment. Spooky....

"Very poor check in experience and all rooms had no air con due to a fault that customers weren’t aware of unless they complained seemingly. Had to beg for a fan but didn’t really help in such high temperatures. Oven didn’t work and had no utensils. Asked for help didn’t get any Parking is extremely limited. Parking at local park and ride is better"

"I think the hotel is probably fine for the money but, like many others have said, the parking charges are outrageous. The first thing you become aware of when you arrive is menacing notices strewn all over the place threatening action against you if you don't pay. It's such an unpleasant and unwelcome thing to be faced with before you've even set foot in the hotel, that it colours your entire impression of the place and says something rather nasty about who runs it. If the management had any nous they'd get rid of it and fold the cost into the room charge. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so 99% of customers have to drive and the idea that it should cost £10 per night in such a location is mean-spirited. It's really all I can remember about my stay and any other recollections I might have aren't worth mentioning because it would dilute the strength of feeling I have about this one element."

"Check in was smooth - when entering our room, we noticed there had only been 2 towels left out for a room of 4. The shower was out dated and patches of black mould in places. There was dust round the edges of the room and the sink had water in it from the previous clean or guest? There was one pillow for each guest, when most people sleep with two. The worst part was the air conditioning… we woke up around 5 to a dripping noise - the air conditioning was leaking, the floor was sodden. When we mentioned it to the front desk - they said “yes we have that a lot as it is old” Oh and yes it has a “gym” but don’t get too excited…there are 3 machines in a tiny room - no weights either. Other than all of that, it was okay. Breakfast was good, just a shame about the room."

"The location is excellent, close to the centre of Cambridge and an easy walk to all the main sights. We enjoyed our stay, the staff were all very helpful but you could tell everything was a bit new, the staffing levels and stock levels let them down on a couple of occasions so service was occasionally very slow, and they ran out of some food items (pastries, flatbread etc) seemingly quite early. I’m sure these are teething problems and I look forward to coming back once the service is a bit more mature…"
