We enjoyed the Blanco River location so close to town. The property was clean and had a kind of country feel in the furnishings and supplies. We got a friendly greeting from the owner as we unloaded.
The weather was cold so we had less time to enjoy the river, which was running on the low side. The extra blankets provided were welcome, as were the generous kitchen supplies.
Quirks: the ceiling fan/light in the LR was not working. The toilet paper was unacceptably cheap and thin--fortunately another reviewer tipped us to bring our own. My partner owns a short-term-rental unit and was mystified. The wifi password did not work (there was some ambiguity about what it was on the sheet provided under the TV).
I strongly recommend that the rental agreement be made available to review BEFORE booking, through a link on the listing. The terms are many, stricter, and more punitive than I have encountered before, and the tone was far from welcoming.
When I signed and returned the rental agreement, I got another notice that it had not been returned. When I called in to investigate, it turned out that the returned form was indeed in their inbox, unnoticed by staff.
Given that we paid a hefty cleaning fee for a two-night stay, the terms specified for guests cleaning up before the cleaners were mystifying.
We didn't take it personally and we had a good time. Perhaps it reflects on the length of stay and quality of guest encountered in the past.
