My husband and I purchased this house in 2015 and have completely restored it. Built in 1915 this house served as a collection point for visitors traveling to Cynthinia KY. Our goal in renovating this house was to keep it as original as possible. The mantel, stairs, and the floors are original while everything else is in the house is new. The house is located close to Downtown Williamstown and less then 1.7 miles to the Ark. My husband and I live 3 houses down would love to come and meet you.
My dad is the Mayor of Williamstown and has worked with the Ark Encounter through its construction and opening phases. He would be glad to talk to you about the Ark if you had any questions.

If you need two houses for your family or group we also have another vacation rental. Check out Noah's House (The house with the red kitchen cabinets!)


WE OFFER CABLE AND SUPER FAST WIFI.

* The kitchen has all new appliances including electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. It is equipped with all your cooking needs. Has a Keurig with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate K-cups for your morning wake up! The table can set up to 6 people.

* The living room has a 49 inch Smart TV with cable. A queen sofa bed couch, stunning hard wood floors and a phone charging station.

* Bedroom 1 is located on the main floor and has a king bed, with two large closets, a 32 inch smart TV with Cable, luggage rack, and charging station for your cell phone and tablet - no need to search for an outlet!

*Bedroom 2 is located downstairs and has a queen bed with a large closet, 32 Inch Smart TV with Cable, also has a charging station no more pulling and tugging furniture to find an outlet!

*The back door will lead you to the gorgeous Kentucky sunset. Hang out and watch the Sunset and let the kids can run off some energy.

*Bedroom 3 is located downstairs and has bunk beds a 32 Inch Smart TV with cable.

*A large utility room where you will be able to do all your laundry needs with extra storage.

My mom and aunt work very hard to ensure your stay feels like home. They strive to make sure everything is clean and comfortable. They go above and beyond to make your trip special. With TWO very special/ocd ladies doing the cleaning you can rest assured you will not find a cleaner place.

*** If you are not able to walk steps you can get to the basement by walking through the yard (is down a slight hill)

The entire home is yours! Feel free to cook your favorite meal, sit back and relax watching your favorite Netflix show, enjoy some family time playing board games, watch the beautiful Kentucky Sunset on the back patio. If you have any special request let us know and we will do our best to make sure you feel right at home.

There is handicap ramp that will lead you to the front porch. The gravel driveway is able to fit two cars with off road parking available. The house does sits approximately 3 feet below street grade.

Wonderful Place to Stay for a Family Visiting the Ark!

This place was perfect for our needs! It was a great place for a family gathering. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we might need - board games, condiments, coffee, reusable K-cups, spices, cooking utensils, even snacks and drinks! It was such a cozy place and we loved hearing the birds sing in the morning! We'd definitely recommend staying here!

Relaxing getaway

We loved our stay!! The quaint 1915 house was very comfortable and the host left snacks, drinks, and coffee which we enjoyed. It was very close to The Ark Encounter and we would definitely recommend this anyone looking for a place to stay.

Cozy house

Unique and Convenient

We had a great stay at this unique, renovated old home! It was clean, well-supplied, and just down the road from the Ark Encounter. The hosts had decorated it in a wonderful way, and we felt very much at home. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to this area.

Lovely old house.

We enjoyed our stay while visiting the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. The only suggestion I have is adding grab bars for the shower for older citizens safety while getting in and out. Thank you for hosting.

Small clean home, easy to find and good amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay! We were impressed with the cleanliness of the home. Definitely appreciated the amenities like water and coffee plus snacks. Plenty of towels were provided along with extra blankets. The shower had a dispenser with shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. The AC worked wonderfully, I especially appreciated it. The house is small and cozy. I will definitely recommend it to my family and friends.

Adorable house!

I booked this house based on location to Ark, and reviews from others - was exactly as expected! Beautiful touches in a well maintained and well stocked house. Loved the Christmas touches all through the house. I was told I’m now in charge of all our trips, meeting up with family. Would definitely recommend this rental, so relaxing & cozy, it was a great meet up with family, we sat and talked for hours each night by the Christmas tree all lite up. Thank you for the wonderful fellowship your home allowed.

Lovely, cozy home and excellent location

My sisters and I stayed at this home when we visited the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum and some other local places. We loved the location and the home was comfy and cozy, perfect for the three of us. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We ate several meals and played many games at the dining table (seats 4). The neighborhood was quiet but there is quite a bit of through traffic but it wasn’t a problem at all. We had everything we needed and much more for above stay. A few other places we visited in the area includes: Boone County Arboretum, Big Bone Lick State Park, Peace, Love and Mini Donuts, Hansie Flip Burger.

Excellent Experience

This place was perfect for what we needed! It was a great home base, and had a welcoming feel to it. The children loved it the moment we arrived! They had fun running up and down the beautiful lush green rolling hills in the back yard. It was so close to the ark that we were able to pop home for lunch and then go back again for the afternoon. Two of the bedrooms were on the lower level of a walkout basement and the kids were not scared and didn't mind. I believe this was due to the open concept type access to the lower level. The dining area is cozy as there were 7 of us, so we did have to turn the table sideways and were happy to find 2 fold up chairs in the MB closet for all of us to fit around the table, there was another spare cushioned chair in the bedroom if there had been 8 of us. It was great that everyone had a spot to go and just relax on their own instead of being cooped up in a hotel room. The house was close to downtown and some of us were able to walk there to look at a few of the shops. We also enjoyed playing board games at the table in the evening! We had brought some, but also found a few more in the bench by the front door! Thank you Ashley & Todd, you're home is lovely! We truly enjoyed our stay!

Plenty of areas for the kids to separate when needed. Smaller overall house but laid out good and has everything you need. Convent location to restaurants and the ark encounter.

The house was beautiful and very clean and well stocked. We vacation every year and this was overall the cleanest place. The trip to the Ark was close. Location was quite. If ever in the area again we would definitely rent again. The hardwood floors are gorgeous.
