The lodge offered convenient access to Cumberland Falls and adjacent trails. I interacted with front desk, restaurant and housekeeping staff. They were all very friendly and accommodating. The facility is in need of updates. The bathtub was stained and the shower diverted broken. The breakfast buffet was edible but not desirable.

Every staff member was very friendly and helpful. The river view from the restaurant and patio is excellent. The hamburger and salad bar at the restaurant was very good and a great value. The room itself was extremely dated, but it was fine for one night.

No elevator and booked on the 3rd floor. Upgraded to a riverview room and had window insulation hanging down in the view. Room was clean but smelled of bleach. Bathroom horrible. Old tub, poor water pressure. Only one nightstand and about 20” TV. Thought we were booking a hotel with restaurant but only had continental breakfast with fake eggs. Paid $150 for this disaster. NEED TO UPDATE YOUR RATING AND LIST REVIEWS OF THIS HOTEL

I'm so sorry to hear this. We are thankful for your stay and Thank you for letting us know about these issues. A work order has been put in for the window view and tub. our water comes from McCreary County and they were having water issues that have been addressed.

Lodge has a nice historic vibe in the exterior and lobby. We had a nice room suite, with two full bathrooms, great when traveling with 2 adults and 3 kids. Kinda bland in the decor, bed was just ok, not evey comfortable. Had to request sheets for the pullout. Pillows were scarce. Staff was friendly and helpful. The park has so many hiking trails and the falls are beautiful. A few areas of concern: With hot water on full and no cold, shower was just hot enough, so whatever. No elevator, which is ok for us, but lugging our luggage up the narrow stairs was less than ideal. Continental breakfast was really bad. Eggs and sausage were cold. Juice was not good. Milk was spoiled. Skip it, but definitely check out the view from the restaurant!

Cumberland Falls state resort Park is beautiful, quiet, relative birds and squirrels although we didn’t get to see a bear. Our room was spacious. The bathroom was huge. Our room was clean. The resort overall is a little dated, but it’s clean and comfortable. The restaurant on site is inexpensive With good enough food. Beautiful view of the Cumberland River from the wound porch about a half mile hike to Cumberland Falls if you don’t want to drive. Highly recommend.

The front desk staff was very good. Our Woodland cabin was pretty clean except for hair left on the floor in the bathroom area. All the linens were clean and bed was comfortable. The steps down to the cabin weren’t fun with big suitcases, but we managed. You have to get ice at the main hotel.

Unfortunately our room was next to checkin area and also an exit door. Was pretty much noisy entire time in room. Was pretty cramped as well. Luck of the draw I guess. View was beautiful outside and lookout areas, lots of trails, and close to falls. Supper buffet and breakfast was great. Would probably do a cabin next time.

We loved the area but the room was a disappointment. The reviews of the king room were very good but our room Looked out over the ventilation system. This beautiful area and we looked out the window at all the external ventilation. Not acceptable.

Hallways and stairwell very dirty. Vent cover fell off in middle of the night. Room was not very clean either. Night staff not so nice and not very knowledgeable.

The great part - The lodge has a great rustic charm, beautiful setting and very quiet. The entire staff was always very pleasant and willing share information and to help with any problems. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and big fluffy towels in the bathroom. Our stay also included a, very good, breakfast bar in the dining room. The downside - Only a small percentage of rooms are ADA accessible. The staff was willing to change rooms, but no ADA ones were available. The showers are two handles, no anti scald. If we can get the ADA room, we will go again.

The room was clean and the lodge was very relaxing. Sat by the fireplace and relaxed after a day of hiking. Only downfall was the room needed coffee items and would have been nice to have lotion and hand soap. But over all very unique and cozy lodgr.

No service on my cell, asked about wifi and check said yeah there’s WiFi but didn’t supply the code. When we did finally get a code it didn’t work. We moved rooms and then the TV don’t work. Food was good and area was beautiful. my first room had a card saying it was last cleaned on Dec. 10, 2023.

It was raining so alot of the trails were underwater and someone didnt clean up after thier dog and he had a very adequate sized lunch. The room was clean but had seen a good long life. Hopefully one day they have extra funding and can update the cabins.

Our room was dirty, though the bedding and towels were very clean. Someone's trail mix was leftover on the floor. You can hear people walking on the floor above you. Our view was of the patio, which is a very lovely patio, but we had to close the drapes so no one could see into our room, which they could easily do. They have a wheelchair ramp and parking, but there are a lot of stairs to get to the dining room, and stairs just about everywhere else besides getting into the lobby.

I was extremely disappointed in the room. First, I thought we booked the lodge and ended up with a cabin. It was dirty, the WiFi wasn’t working and apparently the cabins and connected. The person in the adjoining cabin sounded like they were in the room with us. We heard him coughing and snoring all night for two nights. It could have been a really nice experience had the room been clean, the WiFi worked and there was some level of sound proofing between the two cabins.

Great experience
When we arrived check in was easy. We got our keys and arrived in the room which smelled like it had just been cleaned. I was leary of the food because I had read so many bad reviews but we thought everything we had was excellent. Our dog came with us and they made him feel welcome as well and let us know what trails he could go on with us. The only negative thing I would have to say is that the water at the actual falls looks really dirty but I assume it’s because it’s high and the time of year. We want to go back and see the area in the fall and definitely experience a moonbow.
