My partner and I love this place.
We were able to see the stars at night, I love that we were able to see the mountains near by , the checking process was easy and also checking out. The road getting there was bumping but luckily we had a Jeep to get us through it . I love that they provide us with wood to keep us warm. We wish they had a microwave but overall I would rent here again.
We booked this property under the impression it was a single casita; however, it’s actually a duplex and the walls aren’t very thick so you can hear the people in the other casita.
Nice little casita. Each building is actually 2 casitas so not as big as it looks, but perfect for two. Enough for a bed, bathroom, and small sitting area w/ kitchenette. Kitchenette has a small stove w/ oven and mini fridge. It is off the grid, so limited amount of water each day. Fireplace was great for the super cold day we had. It is as described...off the main highway on a rough dirt road. You will want higher profiled vehicle. We didn't need the 4x4 this time, but could see it needing at certain times.
This was exactly what we wanted. We really liked how cozy it was. Smaller than expected but perfect for myself and wife. I probably should have read the description better. But I have no complaints at all. If we are ever back in that area we will definitely rent again!
My husband and I rented the tiny house for two nights as we are considering putting one on a piece of land with solar to live part time off the grid. As the pictures show, these tiny homes are gorgeous. Top end finishes, beautifully decorated and utilizing the latest technology (Starlink WiFi, electronic door codes, split unit AC/heater, very nice propane stove, etc.).
Pros of the stay: Outstanding communication with the property manager before the visit, gorgeous unit, split unit AC worked like a dream in both the bedroom and living room, high end resort finishes.
Cons: In the “what to expect” letter once you book it states no hair dryer or curling iron (prepare to be natural for the trip), the drive out to the property is super dirty/dusty and you pass several properties that appear to be boon-dock homesteads with a fair amount of trash, when checking in we learned the units are duplex’s with another tenant on the other side which wasn’t what we expected, from our building you can see a tent in the bushes where it would appear someone is living on the property.
We would definitely recommend the property to anyone considering it, especially if you are traveling up to the Grand Canyon which is about 20 minutes away. Just plan on bringing all the food and drink you will want as driving in and out of the property more than once a day is a challenge and you do not want to have to find it at night.
