Not quite as advertised

The hotel appears to be set up more as a conference centre than the as advertised relaxing spa hotel. We booked this hotel for the spa experience/treatment but found out on arrival that the spa doesn't open until after 5 pm (when the conferences finish). We booked a massage (they had to get someone in because they don't have an onsite masseuse) we asked if it would be possible to have at least the whirlpool switch on for after the massage but they left it drained. The food was ok but nothing to write home about, same menu for lunch and dinner and very overpriced - we found this out by driving down the road and finding an array of supermarkets selling items at normal UK prices. The staff are friendly and they put a nice touch on for our anniversary dinner but I wouldn't recommend this conference centre as a couples hotel.

Comfortable stay nestled in a beautiful area with two gorgeous lakes in walking distance. Room was comfortable. Dinner was a bit pricy but good quality and the staff were all very kind. No vale was present to help me with my bags, which were pretty heavy walking up flights of stairs but I guess if I had asked them for help they would have asked someone to come.

a happy hike and wonderful place to stay

A great place for hiking with great location near hiking and ski lifts. Fun klingweg noise walk (but can’t hear in hotel) :) all food was delicious including local meat. Massage was fantastic after a long hike. Our dog was welcome and liked to lounge in the sun on the terrace. It was full of dogs but you would never know it due to the quiet and clean and so trace of smell of them. We would go back to this family run hotel.

Alle Mitarbeitenden speziell aber die Familie waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Grosszügige Zeiten beim Frühstück, schöne Auswahl mit selber gebackenen Broten. Essen im Restaurant ebenfalls sehr gut, Service könnte etwas verbessert werden. (50 min von der Bestellung bis 1 Salat und 1 Suppe gebracht wurden). Abstand sehr gut eingehalten! 3-Bett Zimmer erhalten anstatt gebuchtem 4-Bett Zimmer, aber zu gleichem Preis. Zimmer mit Teppich.

Charmant hotel familial dans un cadre idyllique

Charmant petit hotel familial dans un magnifique cadre pittoresque. Plein de balades a faire aux alentours. Le personnel de l'hotel est tres serviable, souriant et extremement gentil, et fera tout pour rendre votre sejour agreable. Tres bonnes installations de spa (sans piscine). Details a ameliorer : la decoration des chambres, et changer la moquette usee des parties communes. La cuisine du restaurant est tres bonne, mais reste un peu chere pour la region. Bon buffet de petit-dejeuner. Tres bon hotel dans l'ensemble, a recommander.

In der Alpenrose wird man verwöhnt von A-Z. Entspannung beim Wellnessen und nachher ein kulinarisches Highlight, dass ebenfalls alle Sinne anspricht. Einfach wunderbar!

Zu Viert genossen wir ein sehr gutes Abendessen. Nebenan war eine grosse Gruppe und der Speiseraum voll besetzt, so dass der Lärmpegel im Raum sehr gross war. Das Gespräch war dadurch recht mühsam. Empfehlung: (Bessere) Schallschluckdecke und schallschluckende Vorhänge einrichten und/oder einen ruhigen Raum für das Abendessen zur Verfügung stellen. Im übrigen haben wir uns über das sehr gute Essen und die feinen Zimmer sowie die sehr engagierten Mitarbeitenden sehr gefreut - beim Ambiente hat es Luft nach oben!

Gefallen: sehr sauber, gutes Essen, freundliches Personal, gute Lage, grosszügige Zimmer. Nicht gefallen: Die Kopfkissen waren sehr flach, es hat keine anderen Kopfkissen im Zimmer. Die Reception hätte uns natürlich andere beschafft, aber wir waren nur eine Nacht dort, ansonsten hätten wir das Angebot gerne angenommen.

Great location. Ski in, ski out. Our room was spotless, with a great view and sunny terrace we enjoyed very much. Comfortable beds, attentive staff. The owners checked on everything. The food was AMAZING. Local items (we had wild venison) and a fantastic breakfast buffet. We look forward to returning.
