Property owner was very responsive when we had requests. The place is exactly as described.Very homey, plenty of games and DVDs for families. Kitchen had everything needed.
Planned a long weekend getaway for my husband, pup and myself. Hadn't been to this part of the UP before but thought this to be a wonderfully centralized location to a lot of different things while still being in a quite area. The house itself was clean, stocked with anything you could need, and a great place to relax. Trinity was communicative and friendly and had so many accommodations for her place. I would absolutely stay again!
We only used the upsatirs and really liked the house. Very comfortable with everything you need for your stay. Was absolutely in love with the woodsy backyard to a mostly pine forest. Last night we stayed we had a spike buck come with in 30 yrds of us at the campfire. Super cool to finish off our wonderful stay. Sorry though, didnt take any pictures of the back yard
This home was perfect for our family of 3! We originally scheduled it for 3 nights in Sept, but had to reschedule at the last minute due to a family health emergency. The host was very understanding and accommodating and we rescheduled for the end of Oct. We just returned home from our mini vacation and had a fantastic time. The home was clean, spacious and very quiet. We loved the hot tub after doing a lot of hiking. Location was great to the Porkies and nearby restaurants. Would highly recommend!
At first was apprehensive as always when booking any property especially when I couldn't find on maps but host gave us guidance on directions. Everything was nice and comfortable. The hot tub was nice also even if we didnt use it. We had 2 deer yearling come visit first morning at breakfast and got to see a very fat bear at Konteka which is pretty close by. This a really quite and dark area close to Lake Superior and Porcupine park. It was cool to do star gazing as OMG on a clear night its crazy clear. Looking for Yooper rocks was a hoot at night on Lake Superior beach so bring a good UV light. The only complaint i have if I had one is the pet policies needs to be outlined better on the listing. We would definitely stay here again.
Very cozy place. Loved the hot tub, loved cooking on the grill! Stocked kitchen all you have to do is bring your own food. We brought our family pet dog with us and he loved being welcome. Definitely will be visiting again in the future!
The house had everything we needed for a three-night-stay. It was clean, in a good location, and the living room furniture and master bed were comfortable. We did not use the hot-tub, but it did appear to be clean and in good shape. House has been partially updated, bathroom could use a little refresh, but was clean. Overall, a perfect stay and centrally located to the Porcupine Mountain area for hiking and site-seeing.
House is in a great location for quick access to the Porkies. It was clean and stocked with the essentials. Only negative was that all of the tv remotes needed batteries, not a big deal since I didn't plan to watch much tv anyway. Great stay overall.
