"Considering the price, we had high hopes for our stay at this house, but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. Upon arrival, we found the property was not very clean. "Great position on beach front and we had storms during our stay, so watching the waves crash onto the shore was mesmerising. Well presented hotel, everything we needed in our room, but have to say we didn't sleep well at all over the 3 nights we stayed. Our after-stay back twinges/ aches are the result of a too hard mattress and we believe a good quality topper could make a huge difference to the comfort and sleepability. "

"No complaints. It's an Ibis so you know what to expect, but the bed is comfy, the location was convenient, and the room clean. My only comments were we had issues with some TV channels, but it was the morning when checking out, so not a big deal. However, it would have been nice for the bar to be open to maybe midnight, or a little later, so when you get back, the option is open if you fancy another drink."

"The room was originally quite underwhelming. Parts of the hotel are in desperate need of being refurbished. But they moved me to a different room, and I was very happy with it. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was not included, but well worth the cost. There were plenty of warm options, and they were all delicious - a true English breakfast. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the naval museum and Gunnery Quays. The staff was also friendly and accommodating. I would happily stay there again."
