"This place looked like an old hotel that we probably bumped into this very year in a stepping-stone period towards its becoming a proper boutique hotel (perhaps I will go back next year to double check). As a matter of fact the reception was stunning but once you get in your room you have the feeling of having being trown in some kind of B&B that needs a lot of refurbishing asap. "The staff were very friendly. It was quiet and clean. Breakfasts were fabulous and included amazing gluten free croissants for those who need it. Really wanted to eat at the Pagoda but it was closed for the season in October which was disappointing but found lots of yummy places within waking distance in town. Highly recommend."

"Be aware that the hotel charges a mandatory supplement (90 euros for a couple for 1 week) for the entertainment (which was OK) and includes pool aqua-aerobics, a singer and concerts every evening, but in my opinion this should be included in the upfront hotel costs, rather than hidden in small print. The biggest negative was that the hotel does not have wifi for the 2016 season (apparently it had it in 2015). The hotel has a wireless router, which you can connect to, but this is NOT connected...

"Antonio and the entire staff are great. I had a very nice room and everything appeared to be new. Very clean and fully equipped. The view of the island of Cirella is spectacular, especially during sunset from the restaurant terrace. I sat there with my beer and just enjoyed the surroundings. My only suggestion is use softer pillows. I found them to be very hard. Loved the staff and breakfast and Calabrese hospitality. I would stay again!"

"The booking and check in process were easy. Our host, Antonio, met us at the apartment even though we were delayed for several hours. The location is in Baia del Carpino, with gorgeous views of the Mediterranean. Because we stayed off-season, some shops and restaurants in the area were closed, but everything you need is just a short drive away. We really enjoyed our stay."
