"I had a private gathering with friends and family, and the location was nice, but I did not expect that playing music in the back yard (at an extremely reasonable volume) would upset the neighbors. I got a notification from the owner with threats to call the police etc. This made us very uncomfortable and we felt like we were doing something wrong when we were not. Simply existing with music for enjoyment. It was in no way a party. The dogs barking in the yard behind the house were way louder than the music was. I don’t think it’s an issue with the owner. I think it’s an issue with a disgruntled neighbor. It’s great if you plan to stay inside and be totally quiet. But if you want to actually use the back yard, and god forbid you play music, be ready for accusations and threats."
