We stayed at Casa Divina for the month of February 2019 for a winter getaway from freezing temperatures in NYC. Casa Divina was the perfect fit for our family, including husband, new baby and new grandparents. The house is extremely charming in a delightful little neighborhood, full of 1920's unique and funky architecture. It's a short walk to GREAT antiquing/vintage shops, restaurants, provisions and a 2 mile bay walk to Clematis Street - the perfect location! The house is suited with everything you would possibly need and sparkling clean. You can tell the owner takes great care of the property. The house is petite in size but because of the cottage, we felt very comfortable inviting guests that at one point totaled 10 people one weekend.
The house manager is extremely fast in responding with any questions or concerns we had and is a local in the neighborhood. She is super friendly and a great resource throughout.
The reason we are giving 4/5 stars is because of the noise. Unfortunately, we rented the property while there was construction on both sides of the house. We hope the owner was unaware of the timing of this, as the backyard area was mostly unusable due to construction noise (and sometimes wood or concrete dust blown into the yard). The construction was ongoing from our first day (including weekends and after 5pm hours). The neighbor was receptive to our complaints and haulted construction one Sunday, per our request (ONE full day of silence), but it was still a very unfortunate situation.
In addition, as mentioned on previous posts, the WPB airport is indeed 10 minutes away and planes are quite loud overhead. We understand this is an issue for all Palm Beach residents, so I imagine this is an issue renting anywhere in WPB and PB, but in addition to the construction, it became quite a headache. We got used to the planes, but I think it's worth mentioning if you plan to bring a baby.
