We had wonderful stay - so peaceful and relaxing. A bit windy when we stayed there, but house reef is protected and can be explored regardless. People who run it are very welcoming, warm and trying to please you. We felt like a part of family and would like to come back

Great location overlooking the beach. Lounge by the water on hammocks, best snorkeling have ever experienced. Wonderful friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Naqailia lodge. Simple, friendly and amazing location.

Great bure overlooking the ocean and swaying palm trees. The bed was super comfy and the water pressure was fantastic! All the staff were so kind, friendly and welcoming! We truly felt at home. They were attentive to making GF food as well and Sia made me a cassava cake that was so yummy. (Note fiji would be difficult to travel in as a celiac - I am not and can manage some gluten). What a great stay in a beautiful place.

As soon as we stepped onto the boat we were greeted with a big smile from the wonderful Manager of Naqalia Lodge. Everyone there made us feel so welcome and treated us like family. There were two rules at Naqalia Lodge: 1. Eat as much as you can and 2. Wake up every day with a happy face. Pretty easy considering the outlook from our bungalow, the variety of delicious food and the beautiful, happy people who run Naqalia Lodge. The accomodation is basic so don’t come here if you are precious. Cold showers only. Our bed was huge and clean and comfortable. Whilst on their land, you are family. The reef is teeming with fish and colourful coral so snorkelling is a delight. There is a compulsory meal plan which was great value ( especially if you eat lots as you can go back and fill your plate until the food is gone!) Each day there is a different selection of delicious food, served buffet style. There is tea and coffee available all day and a cake or yummy treat left over from the morning meal which is available until it’s all eaten. You can drink their tank water ( we did with no problem). We had a fabulous time at Naqalia Lodge. We left with lots of happy memories, warm hearts ( and bigger bellies !!) and we will definitely be back again.

Very authentic real Fijian people who are genuinely interested in you having the best time possible doing what you want to do. They want you to feel like it’s a home away from home and I wholeheartedly recommend it for people who don’t need or want a resort experience but want a real Fijian one

Booked 5 nights and ran away after one night. Really terrible place though the staff is very nice. It’s not written but there is no electricity for few hours a day and that means no fans working at night while it’s super hot and humid so no sleep. Wasps flying freely in the rooms, no lock and overall a bad experience. Feel bad for the staff because they are real good people

We absolutely loved our stay at Naqalia Lodge. The entire staff instantly made you feel welcome and cared for. Meals are lovingly prepared and the food is plentiful. The island is beautiful with great snorkeling out front and hiking nearby. We would absolutely come again.

It's an interesting cross between a homestay and a resort. The beautiful welcoming staff made it a memorable stay in spite of the rough by western standards facilities. I'd go back!

Stunning location. Beautiful house reef for snorkelling. Not a 5 star resort but very friendly family environment. Food was good and plentiful and accommodated vegan and vegetarian needs. Wish we had stayed longer.

Lovely family who run the place, but quite fun down. Bungalows were built 20 years ago and have had no renovation. That said everything was functional. No cell signal except in 2 spots by the beach Very intermittently. No ac, no hot water, no locks for the doors. Food was basic but good and plenty of it. Reef shark feeding snokel activity was absolutley amazing. Hiking trails do not exist. Guide needed to hike. I was there alone for one night, then joined by a couple the next. Excellent place if you want peace and quiet

Sono una ragazza italiana che viaggia da sola e soggiornare al Naqalia Lodge è stato come trovare una seconda famiglia. La camera era semplice ma sempre pulita e curata, perfetta per rilassarsi dopo una giornata tra mare e natura. Il personale è senza dubbio il cuore di questo posto: accogliente, genuino e sempre pronto ad aiutarti con il sorriso, facendoti sentire davvero a casa. La colazione era buona e preparata con cura, un ottimo modo per iniziare la giornata. Anche gli altri pasti sono stati una piacevole sorpresa: sempre freschi, di qualità, casalinghi e preparati con il cuore. Si percepisce davvero l’attenzione e l’amore in ogni piatto. Inoltre, il lodge offre tante attività che rendono il soggiorno ancora più speciale: snorkeling tra acque cristalline, kayak, visita al villaggio locale, pesca, massaggi, e molte altre esperienze autentiche che permettono di entrare davvero in contatto con la cultura del posto. Ma ciò che rende questo lodge davvero speciale è l’atmosfera e la vista mozzafiato sul mare cristallino, che regalano momenti di pura pace. The best 5 days of my life. Originally booked for 3 nights but had to extend my stay because I didn’t want to leave.
