No AC but surprisingly comfortable if you just want a place to sleep in a perfect location in Paddington

I urge you to avoid this hotel, particularly in summer months where temperatures are peak. I imagine the hotel is lovely during the winter when Air Conditioning isn’t required however was disappointed to hear that their air conditioning wasn’t working during our stay (despite the reception area being lovely and cool from air conditioning). Our room was on the top floor of the building and to negate the AC not working, the room had a huge industrial sized fan that blew hot air around the area. This wouldn’t have been too much of an issue if it wasn’t for the fact that you could not open the windows (safety measure). This resulted in the room being even hotter from the power generated by the fan in a small area. The hotel compensated us with complimentary buffet breakfast however this doesn’t even touch the sides of the amount spent on the room for the night. Looking at previous reviews, it appears there seems to be a trend with AC not working over summer months, dating back to June 2025. Unsure if the hotel are attempting to cut costs during the summer months or if they genuinely haven’t managed to fix it in over a year but it’s deeply concerning allowing travellers to stay in rooms that reach dangerous levels of heat.

Good location for the Hamilton theatre , and a lovely hotel , very clean and very friendly staff. Would return 👍
