My husband, two teens, and mom had a wonderful stay at Longview for four nights in August 2022. The view was spectacular. There was someone staying in the adjacent rental, but we never saw or heard them. There is a rooster on their other side, so bring earplugs if you don't want to be up at the crack of dawn! The road was quiet and provided lovely walks each evening. For the first two days, it was unseasonably warm, so it would have been nice to have had some lounge chairs outside (there is only a picnic table, but plenty of room for more seating). The kitchen is well stocked with supplies and salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar were provided. We did find there wasn't much space to store unrefrigerated foods, so had to improvise a little. I had thought there was a king size bed in one of the bedrooms, but the larger beds are all queens, so my large husband and I were somewhat cramped. The bathrooms and showers were all wonderful. Several fans were supplied for warm weather. Plenty of closet space was available for clothing. There are lots of books, so not necessary to bring your own. The sofa in the TV room is incredibly big, soft, and comfortable, and I considered sleeping on it more than once! All in all we had a wonderful stay, and would definitely return.
