「This place was one of the best places we ever stayed at. So quiet and the wildlife was amazing. Birds of all kinds, deer, turkey, bullfrogs and turtles also. The lake was fun and the hiking trails were just enough for a bit of exercise. We stayed for 3 nights and never left the property. Hated to leave. Roger and Mary joined us around the campfire as my friend played acoustic guitar. Great owners!! Only suggestion we had was maybe some hooks on the wall in the main bedroom to hang some clothes.」

「This is a great place to stay with friends or family. Jean was so nice and responsive. The entire property is beautiful. The views from the deck are amazing and we say Bluebirds! I cannot say enough positive comments about this home. It's close to Athens through the winding hills. Beautiful part of Ohio. We will be back!」

「The home was nicely furnished with three living room areas, a complete kitchen with every thing you need, four bedrooms with comfortable bedding, three full bathrooms and linens supplied. We very much enjoyed the party house right on the river and the adjacent fire pit with comfortable benches. The driveway to the home is steep but very negotiable for cars and motorcycles. We enjoyed the time so much we are considering coming back next year.」

「The cottage was great. The beds were comfy, the yard is HUGE and the fenced in backyard is great for pets. The hot tub heats up quickly and is great. The cottage has all the things you could need and is very tidy and neat. We enjoyed the hikes with the pups and had a great time using the side yard to throw frisbee.」

「I wanted to stay at an historic place and the Lafayette fit the bill. The property was nice and clean and in a great location. The rooftop seating was so nice to relax and watch the barges navigate the river. The free breakfast in the Gun Room was excellent and the bar had great food and good service. The only negative, and its not that big of a deal was the small bathroom. I would stay here again. 」
