歴史を感じるブティック型のホテルです。その雰囲気が好きな方は大満足かと思います。下のレストランもお薦め。ただ、部屋にTV・ドライヤーはないのでご注意下さい（無論電話もないです）。

良い意味でも別の意味でも古めかしいホテル。基本的に（１階がレストランのわりに）静かで立地も比較的良い。徒歩圏内に良いカフェやレストランがあって、ホテルで食べた朝食も美味しかった。以下の点については不満あり ・お風呂/シャワーのお湯が出てくるまで相当時間かかる。温度調節もほぼ不可能 ・防音がイマイチなので隣室の声が丸聞こえ ・電気ケトル、冷蔵庫が無い（無料コーヒーのサービスはあるが）お茶を飲む文化の人には辛い ・ベッドが柔らかすぎ＆掛け布団がシーツのような薄さでダウンとか靴下とか着て寝る感じになる 慣れればいけますが、ダメな人はダメかも。

仕方がないことですが、設備が古い点が気になります。古さは味わいであるのですが、シャワーの出が悪い、排水が悪い、ベッドのマットレスの質が悪いという点に改善点を求めます。

古き良きアメリカンな客室と食事を堪能できるホテル
古き良き時代のB&Bを彷彿とさせる素敵なたたずまいのホテルです。 クラシカルな客室は近代的なホテルとは別次元の安らぎをも散らします。 室内の清掃も綺麗でベッドメークも完璧です。 私は近代的なホテルに慣れていた為、共同バスルームは面倒だと思いました。 レストランで食べる朝食も素晴らしく、これを食べる為だけに宿泊しても良いと思ったほどです。 ホテルの周辺には電車の駅はありませんが、市内中心部からぎりぎり歩ける距離ですし、UberやLyftの電動スクータを活用して移動すれば何ら問題無く市内散策を楽しめます。(ワシントンDCに宿泊される際には、この電動スクータなどを活用することを強くお薦め致します)

素敵な雰囲気のホテルです。
一人旅でD.Cに行き、当ホテルに４泊しました。 場所は大変便利で、メトロのデュポンサークル駅、ファラガットノース駅、ファラガットウエスト駅が徒歩圏内です。また、CVS（ドラッグストアでドリンク等も買える）やホールフーズ（スーパー）も徒歩圏内にあります。 建物は古いですが、アンティークな感じで良い雰囲気を出しています。また、廊下や部屋の中にすてきな絵画がたくさん飾ってあり、ちょっとした美術館といっても良いぐらいです。 建物の１階（フロントの奥）はレストラン＆バーのようなお店となっており、同店で使える１５ドルのバウチャーを１泊につき１枚もらえました。私はすべて朝食時に使いましたが、サンドウィッチやエッグベネディクト等どれも大変おいしかったです。ディナーの営業にはいきませんでしたが、たくさんのお客さんで賑わっておりました。 部屋に関しては、建物が古い故に、隣の部屋の会話が筒抜けとなっていました。また、１階のレストランからの音（大きな声の会話や笑い声など）も聞こえてきました。深夜まで騒ぐことはありませんでしたが、早めの時間に就寝する際は少し気になるかも知れません。 また、私の泊まった部屋にはトイレ・シャワーが付いておらず、共同となっておりましたが、他の宿泊者とバッティングすることも一切なく、さほど不便さは感じませんでした。また、部屋によってはシャワーが付いていたのかも知れません（別の部屋の前からシャワーのような音が聞こえていました）。 ホテルや１階のレストランの従業員の方々は、皆さん気さくで、温かくしていただけました。居心地はよかったですが、難点は音の問題です。その点が気にならない方であれば、このアンティークな雰囲気と素敵な絵画に囲まれた当ホテルは満足できると思います。

Sure it’s old, like I mean real old. Like maybe the oldest hotel in DC. However that doesn’t justify $400 a night if it doesn’t provide a clean bathtub or a fresh pillowcase on the spare pillow. I don’t usually notice those kinds of details but you can bet my girlfriend does. Yes and only one spare pillow for our king bed. Would it break them to put a tv or telephone in the room? I know we are all supposed to want to be intellectual and tv is so twentieth century etc but let’s face it, we don’t all love to stream. Which left me squinting at my cellphone trying to watch Unexplained Mysteries with my Netflix app. Breakfast was delicious but not entirely included in the price of the $400 stay. Oh and no elevators made climbing the three flights of narrow winding staircases a real workout even without the suitcases. Crazy eclectic artwork everywhere with a decidedly left wing slant made an already uncomfortable stay even more anxiety inducing. My crazy sisters love the place for among other reasons because Tabard’s promotional materials proclaim the place is haunted with its own private ghost. So listen up people I stayed in a real clean and friendly motel in the Catskills the week before and paid $95 a night and came away very happy and well rested. I prefer my bizarro hotels in the movies.

This is a historic hotel full of character and charm. The lounge area is cozy and the ambiance is great. My husband and I enjoyed cocktails and relaxing after walking around sightseeing all day. We would stay here again -- at the very least come back and enjoy the lounge/bar area.

Old, no elevator, no microwave oven, no TV, no cable, no pool, homeless people are common sight, bathroom is very old, expensive restaurant, no aircon, not worth for the price paid for stay.

Loved the old-fashioned decor. Room not cleaned the first day and for the money no special touches. Most of the staff were great, but one guy at the front desk was indifferent.

Late Victorian era building with a boutique hotel vibe. Our room and bath were spacious. The old building has its quirks. How things work in the room are not as intuitive as in newer hotels, but we found what we were looking for. The common areas like the lobby, bar and restaurant open for breakfast and lunch are unique in a good way. Staff are great. We arrived early. We checked our bags and they were in our room when we got back to the hotel later in the day. There is no elevator, and high ceilings add to the stair count, but the stairs were comfortable.

A popular restaurant with the local upwardly mobile, serving good food in a lovely environment & rooms which are pleasantly retro. I did not miss not having a TV in my room but I would have appreciated coffee making facilities for those days when I did not fancy breakfast but did fancy a cuppa before walking around Washington. It is in a quiet & safe area, an easy walk to the centre of town or the Metro. The staff were all friendly & helpful. The menu was good & the food delicious. Great for a tourist trip to Washington DC.

If you want a lift - forget it. Or a mini-bar, or 24/7 room service too. But if you want to stay in a grand house circa 1880, with a lovely period ambience, then this is pretty unique in DC. I love it.

Horrible - big party next to me with loud drunks ruining my special trip with my daughter, I’ve called front desk and nothing can be done. I loved my trip here in January and soooooo disappointed with this one. Didn’t realize Tabard Inn was a college spring break motel.

The staff member at check in did not seem to care much about their job, but other front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Very difficult to regulate the temperatures in the room and the water in the shower, but otherwise a good experience. NOTE: not accessible, no elevator.

This hotel is a gem, not to mention its amazing restaurant, lounge, and bar. It has been a Washington, DC legend for decades. My room was so beautiful, high-ceilinged, spacious, furnished with old but comfortable sofas. The bathroom was old, a bit creaky, but functional and charming. I loved that it lacked a TV, phone, or radio. Look: this hotel is not for you if you seek the latest modern comforts. There are no elevators and there are some stairs to climb. Forget about a gym. What looks old and delightful to me might seem shabby to you. But if you seek peaceful, old-world coziness and charm, you will adore this hotel as much as I do. It is a DC treasure!
