Omni Shoreham Hotel

"Gorgeous, vintage hotel built in 1930 that is kept in pristine condition. I wish I had a Big Wheel to morph into Danny Torrance as I navigated the hallways. The staff was phenomenal - completely on top of everything. Very helpful & knowledgeable. My departing flight was at 9 pm, though check out was at noon. I checked out, and they gave me a key to anywhere in the hotel- except my room - including the pool, spa, fitness, restaurant..... everything! One concern - could not watch certain streaming on room TV - Google cast, which is part of the TV amenity, does not work with Netflix or a few other apps. Thank you Omni staff for a very special stay as I visited my son in DC. If possible, I will not stay anywhere else in DC when I visit. 💖🌻💝"

"I was traveling with my 10 year old son and our flight got cancelled due to the weather. So I had to choose a hotel for that night. The reviews and price seemed appropriate for the last minute situation, so I chose this hotel. We arrived relatively quick on an Uber (it was somewhat late, almost 11pm). The entrance is very nice and chic. I wasn't too keen on how the guys at the check in desk looked at us, almost in a making fun of us type of manner, but they checked me in without trouble, and I was tired and ready for a bed. The hotel has the vibe is for adults, but again, last minute stay for a night. The room is small but well proportioned so it doesn't seem crowded. I loved the restroom idea with the colors you could control with the tablet. The room was clean and all functioned properly. We paid for the breakfast, which was good. There were really big flies surrounding the food, which made me lost my appetite, but still ate from the food that was covered. They had a small menu but good variety. Way fancier than a continental breakfast but small compared to bigger hotels. The walk to the metro was great in the morning, like a 5-7 minute walk, so that was convenient. The neighborhood seemed cleaned and well maintained. I would definitely come back to this hotel with my spouse next time."

"We were pleasantly surprised at the Moxy. A very hip hotel in a great location. Close enough in proximity to the convention center, and museums and monuments were a mile away. Public transportation was an easy walk of a couple of blocks. The room was tiny but we were only there to sleep so once we took advantage of the numerous wall hooks and fold out tables it worked for our weeks stay. Bathroom and shower were spacious. Staff was great."

"It was a nice lovely historica hotel. I was at the room 206 and like the space with the desk that seems to be a good zone. Everything is clean, we did not have any breakfast, Hotel staff are friendly and helpful and also help open the door for us, which some hotels do not have anymore as most hotel has automatically door so this reminds me of the old time. The hotel is clean and I love the wall decoration. If we will be back to DC, I recommend this hotel. Good location!"

"Overall, a very pleasant stay. Room was nice, bed comfortable, bathroom functional but needs attention. Tub clogged, toilet paper roll kept falling off. Restaurant was excellent. Bar needs a refresh. It was too dark. Staff provided excellent service."

"It’s a great location close to everything! Breakfast included is a great amenity. I didn’t like the check out process there was no agent at the desk by the time I was checking out to catch my early flight I had to leave the keys at the front desk. Everything else was great! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting DC."
