Silo Valley Farm- Room for 6 & Golf Cart

We purchased the farm house in 2017 and did a complete renovation of the old farm house with 2 private bedrooms and a den, 2 & 1/2 baths surrounded by 53 acres of breath taking land with tall trees, running steam and 2 beautiful ponds full of fish.

Many trails, fishing (catch and release), boating, target shooting as well as bow & arrow. Seasonal hunting (dear, docks and geese) or many games available to keep you busy (corn hole, badminton, etc. ). There is a 4 seater golf cart to roam around the property. There is always something to do at the farm and when you done, just sit around the fire pits or the ponds and enjoy the beauties nature offers and forget about the outside noise.

The space
We bought the farm early in 2017 when we fell in love with the farm and surrounding lands on the first look. The old farm house dated back to 1800. We tried to keep the old charm with the new when we renovated it from top to bottom in mid 2017. Surrounded by 53 acres of open land, trees, water and total privacy.

There are 4 venues to hang out on the property. 2 Patios, one off the kitchen and one on the back porch next to the front entrance and 2 fire pits to sit around at nights. There is also a 1000 sq ft. pavilion looking over the pond with a catering kitchen for entertainment.

Guest access
There is over 50 acreage of beautiful land with 2 ponds surrounded by tall trees. There are much more acreage surrounding the farm that you can use for trails. It sleeps up to 4 adults or children. Please advise in advance you need additional sleeping quarters.

Other things to note
You’re in heaven if you like outdoor, barbecue, fishing, walking different trails, outdoor games, shooting targets, relax around the firepit or on one of the patios. There are always something you can find to do at the farm.
In addition there are 6 adirondack chairs on the upper pond to enjoy an afternoon nap or feed the fishes. There is also a 6 person dome tent available to use on the upper shelf in the closet next to the front door. Please just make sure to put it back the way you find it.

Was looking for a country/farm style rental for Labor Day weekend for our annual extended family get together. We all grew up with farm or country backgrounds, and Silo Valley Farm was the PERFECT experience we were hoping for! It was me and my wife, parents, and brother's family with 3 kids. Perfect accommodations for sleeping arrangements, and just the right amount of space. You can tell host really put a lot of creative detail into the property, from the amazing kitchen, bathrooms, outdoor furniture and covered gazebo area, to the landscaping of the beach, with Adirondack chairs and dock, and amazing firepit with cozy chairs. Wife and mother in-law loved the golf cart to putz around the property, and me and the guys loved the fishing, target range, and exploring the outdoors scenery. Nephews also loved the driving range net, with balls and clubs provided! For an outdoorsy, midwestern guy, this property was exactly what I was searching for. All the outdoor experiences, but also cozy and comfy indoor living room, and the kitchen farm table made cooking and dining a breeze! Matt was very responsive to questions, and we had no hiccups or concerns. Property was very well taken care of, grass mowed neatly, landscaping was neat and clean, just a pleasant experience to walk around and explore. We're definitely going to try to make this a recurring visit, especially since it's near all of our family, and close to town for any groceries or store items needed.

We had a group stay here to attend the Solheim Cup in Gainesville. It was a beautiful property to spend some time with friends. The outdoor patios and furniture could've been taken care of better. (Dirty cushions/cobwebs/bird poop)

Matt was so nice and helpful and responded quickly. The beds, OMG the beds are so comfortable. The pavilion was the hang out spot. The views were breathtaking especially sunrise and sunset. Close to town without feeling like it. The house has so much history. It’s so beautiful. I will absolutely be renting this home again for a family reunion. Thank you Matt!

My friends and I stayed in this property for a friend’s weekend and it was perfect. We grilled, played cards, rode around on the golf cart, and built a fire. The house had everything we needed and communication with the owner was stellar. The showers were nice and hot and and had good pressure. Our only small complaint was the beds were a bit uncomfortable and the curtains were sheer so the mornings were difficult for some of us who forgot our eye masks. Overall though the property was beautiful and charming and the owner was super responsive. Highly recommend!

We had a super time staying at this property. The grounds were spacious and lovely. The farmhouse had charm with modern conveniences. We live in the DC area and wanted a “staycation” close by and this was perfect. The owner was incredibly communicative and accommodating and even let us check out late. Our dog loved the wide open space of the property. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your lovely property with us.

We had a large family gathering to celebrate our grandsons graduation- about 25 people. Our whole family had an ABSOLUTE blast- so many things to do on the farm! The house is beautifully located in a very quiet rural area, but it seemed to be not very clean, it was smelly (dishwasher, washing machine, bed sheets) as if it had been empty for some time and hadn‘t been cleaned before our arrival. Also some of the furniture is quite old and should be replaced. We were in the area for a weding and wanted to host a brunch at the house the day after. I was very surprised that the host wanted us to pay extra for it (1500 $) as there was no additional service included other than us using the location that we had rented in the first place. I thought that was not really justified so we didn‘t do this. That was kind of a disappointing experience.

We just spent a lovely week at the farm. It is very peaceful with nice views. Multiple places to sit outside allowed us to enjoy the property even when it rained. Communication with the owner was very prompt. He quickly supplied us hand soap when ours had run out.

We spent 9 days of vacation on the farm and had our daughter’s wedding in front of the pond. It was absolutely perfect. Beyond our expectations. We enjoyed lots of wildlife, fishing in the ponds , playing yard games and riding the golf cart around the beautiful property. The deer and Wild turkeys come right up to the house. Mr Matini was a great host. We arrived only to hear beautiful music playing from the back porch to welcome us. Ohhh the porches, both of them ! So relaxing ! We did have one problem . We had to leave !

The property & farm house pictures & description were accurately portrayed. Our family enjoyed indoor & out door games. Golf rides all over the estate. Well maintained trails. What a beautiful spot. For multiple reasons we could not go far for spring break, but I wanted us to have a change of scenery and space to explore. This worked out perfectly. The location is an easy drive less than an hour from the beltway, yet once there it feels much further away. The farmhouse is beautifully restored with a spacious kitchen (love the wooden table in the kitchen). The property has many areas setup thoughtfully for sitting, eating or hanging out. We enjoyed eating on the porch and on the pavilion near one of the ponds. My favorite part - each morning while still in my PJs and slippers I walked to one of the ponds with my dog to fish while everyone else slept. We saw wild turkeys, turtles, frogs, geese. The lower pond has a steady flow of water so it's fresh and clear, and my kids even tried out paddleboards on it. One family member has limited mobility and enjoyed touring the property on the golf cart. The owner was extremely responsive when I sent him a couple questions. All good with no caveats. Definitely recommended.

This is our second time staying here. We have family near. We love the farm and Matt is one of the best host we have dealt with. He always responds right away. We catch and release a lot of fish in the ponds, the golf cart is great for riding around the farm and we enjoyed the front porch and the fire pit. Powers farm and brewery is a few minutes away and he’s great beer and food trucks. You are also minutes for shopping and down town Warrenton

My 2 adult children, husband and I had a great time. We enjoyed walking around the grounds. Our 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed their stay too. The house is nicely decorated and we could easily keep warm despite the freezing cold outside. We enjoyed the fire pit and out door games that were provided. We are looking forward to staying again.

The property is really quite something! Large open fields, two lakes and a lovely outdoor lounging space and pavilion. Renovated bathrooms and kitchen were a plus. We did have some issues with bugs as there were quite a lot of flies and stink bugs inside the house. I suppose it’s just something that comes with being so close to nature. Matt was very responsive and accommodating!
