My recommendation: don't buy the all-inclusive package for this resort. The food isn't good—there’s no variety, and it’s never hot. Also, with the à la carte options, you can't choose a full meal (appetizer, main course, and dessert); they tell you to pick just one, and if you want another, you have to pay extra. So, why on earth pay so much for all-inclusive? You can find much better food—really good food—in the surrounding area, such as at La Pampa Argentina and other places I won't mention. In short, Bahia del Sol Resort offers poor service regarding both housekeeping and dining. In the room I stayed in (#631), the bathtub drain clogged whenever I used it, the walls were old and dirty, and the air conditioner sounded like a helicopter sleeping right next to you. There was no mini-fridge for cold water, no iron, no closet, no soap holder in the bathroom, and the list goes on. Their TikTok ads bear no resemblance to reality; I experienced it firsthand, and it was a costly mistake. As for the country of El Salvador itself, I give it a 100% rating: the people are very respectful and friendly, the streets and highways are very clean, and there is a strong security presence (both military and police)—an excellent transformation that has made the country very beautiful.
