Beonne the Bay is situated at stunning Vivonne Bay. This four-bedroom house easily sleeps 10 people. It can be cosy for a couple with an upstairs bedroom featuring a king size bed and en-suite but equally comfortable for ten, with 2 queen size beds, another living area and bathroom. Just minutes walk to both the Harriet River and the beach or a short drive to Flinders Chase and Little Sahara, you are well positioned to enjoy the many opportunities that Kangaroo Island has to offer.
Beonne the Bay has arguably the best location in Vivonne Bay with easy access to both Vivonne Bay beach and the Harriet river. You can kayak and fish on the river and surf, swim, fish or walk for miles on the beach. There is a boat launch near the jetty and we have room for your boat and cars to park. The river is straight across the road and there are no houses between you and the beach. BTB is a recently renovated 2-storey house with large living spaces upstairs and downstairs. The kitchen is large and well-equipped and makes food preparation easy with a large fridge and a large upright freezer, fan forced oven and oven/microwave and a coffee pod machine. There are new comfortable couches and new mattresses. There is reverse cycle a/c upstairs and downstairs and ceiling fans in most rooms including 3 of the 4 bedrooms. There is a combustion fire that can be used on request to create a cosy place to sit by and rest after enjoying the attractions of Kangaroo Island. There is a large deck you can spend time entertaining or cooking on the Weber Q barbecue eating the fish you have caught and watching the sun set or just lounging around in the hammock chair. There is a washer and dryer for convenience. There are plenty of jigsaw puzzles and games and books but also a television that can be used to play usb devices or DVDs.
There is very limited communication as the mobile phone reception is limited. We do have a local contact very close to the house, whose name and number will be provided upon booking.
Beonne the Bay is part of the Harriet River settlement at Vivonne Bay. The houses are all nestled in a natural bush environment set back a short distance from the beach which creates a unique sense of untouched wilderness. The beach is spectacular and has been voted Australia`s best beach recognizing how beautiful it is - you can swim, fish, boat, surf or relax there.
There is a bus stop a couple of kms from Beonne the bay but it is strongly recommended that you have your own transport to drive around the Island as the best way to see the many amazing sights. Some of the roads are unsealed and require some care when driving, there is also a lot of wildlife so it is important to drive carefully particularly at dawn and dusk.
Beonne the Bay is rainwater only so we do ask that guests use water sparingly. It is fresh and delicious and completely safe to drink.
