We always travel to VA beach for our family beach vacations and this was our first time at this property. Although the building itself is older and needs some extra love, the rental itself has been beautifully updated and was a wonderful place for our family of 5 to stay at. The rooms were very spacious and had lovey amenities. You can't beat the location, it is close to most of our favorite spots and we enjoyed not having to drive everywhere. The staff was very quick to respond to any issues/concerns we had during our stay. We did have a single unwanted critter in our kitchen and without our asking, the staff sent over a pest control visit right away and that was very reassuring. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again.

Stay away unless you like a dirty building, little to no pool chairs (and those that are there are absolutely filthy), broken firepits, A/C that was not functional in the entire building for more than 24 hours with no resolution timeframe given (front office told us to go buy fans), apartment sleeps 6 - only 3 bath towels in the place upon arrival, dirty bedroom (sand everyhere)...the list goes on. Awful stay.

The property was older, but the unit was updated, but unfortunately not done well. Penthouse on 16th floor but elevator only went to 15th and was not worked on during our stay. The dishwasher fell over when we opened it, a kitchen cabinet door almost fell off, dirty dishes upon our arrival. Internet did not work. Vanity lights in all bathrooms did not work. No bath mats so stepped on wet tile after showering (shower curtains all too small). No dish scrubber, no dish soap, no dish towels. Only one trash bag for an entire week. Only one roll of toilet paper for an entire week. The smell was bad (cigarettes). Pool table with only one cue. Then not was not prepared for our arrival. We chose this rental for our family to stay for a week because we wanted the amenities of a home, which was not the case. There is potential, but the guest experience, basic hospitality and essentials needs to be considered and included.

We were forced to stay in another smaller penthouse as we came in on New Year's eve eve(after having reservations for o/4mos) for 3 nights. We were told we'd get a credit due to being very inconvenienced after a 10 hour drive fully loaded for our 1+ month stay. We had no heat(January) in the back bedrooms(maintenance had to come several times. Once we were able to move all our belongings-we had to drag stuff up a flight of stairs and finally get to unpack a second time(frig/suitcases etc) while working remotely. (still no credit). Again, the Penthouse we moved into-HAD NO HEAT in the back bedroom area. Maintenance came up about 4 separate times and ended up having to install a new furnace unit-which we had to manually turn on and off as it wasn't running correctly. We went the entire month without an elevator to our floor; the "heated" pool was not working and could not be used; dog area always had dog feces all over(due to tenants; otherwise the building staff was great!! They were accomodating(bringing us space heaters to use, a swiffer to clean the floors, garbage bags) and just overall very friendly. The Penthouse manager CS who dealt with us before the stay told us what we needed to hear until we were about to arrive and then we were shuffled to another Penthouse while the one we paid for(more spacious w/pool table and bedrooms down away from main area) was being used by other people! The penthouse we moved into was very nice and clean. The building staff was great!

Our family of 5 (Dad, Mom, 3 teenage boys) and our dog stayed for Christmas and had a great time. The building is rough and smells like cigarette smoke. It needs a lot of TLC/cleaning but the penthouse floor where the rental is has a very different feel and is super nice. It was perfect for our stay however I wouldn't permanently live here. Staff is friendly but a few of our maintenance requests weren't fulfilled. The overhead light in the master bedroom wasn't working but there are two table top lights so we didn't push the issue. The Cox cable was disconnected so we got a Chromecast and didn't push that issue either. The maintenance crew seems to be overwhelmed with trying to keep up with the demands of this older building. Kitchen was great and stocked with enough supplies that I could make several meals and our family Christmas cookies. Cleaning could have been better but it wasn't unlivable. The basics were cleaned however it could use a good deep clean to get rid of the sand, but your at the beach so that's expected. Hall bathroom and second bedroom are big with plenty of storage. Towels were provided and we used the in house laundry to keep things cleaned. Main bedroom is nice and big. Bathroom is small but doable. Water pressure and shower head were not great but it worked! Front office works till 5 so if you arrive after that you need to call to check in. It wasn't perfect but we had a great time and enjoyed the location. I would stay here again!
