「Beautiful property, magnificent lake views from all bedrooms. Excellent location, easy walking distance to restaurants, a main attraction historic Villa, and the ferry. Owner took her time explaining how to get to each attraction, best bakery, recommended restaurants which lived up to the hype, happily arranged water taxi, and was responsive when we had additional questions throughout our stay. Amazing communication by management - always prompt and responsive. We needed a new set of knives and pasta fork and management brought it the next day. 「This is a WOW property upon arrival in a great area. Andrea, the property manager was incredibly responsive before our arrive and during. You arrive to open a large garage (had mid size SUV that easily fit) and inside is the private elevator to take you to 3 floor. Floor 0 - very clean garage. Floor 1 - Beautiful bedroom and bathroom with washer (no drier but great drying rack) and a door leading to a covered sitting area overlooking the lake. 「Schönes, stilvolles Haus - aber leider nicht gut erhalten (bspw Toilettenspülung teils defekt, Klopapierhalter fiel ab). Service war, obwohl sehr bemüht und sehr nett, nicht gut - bspw war Frühstück, welches für 8h bestellt war, teils erst 30min später bereit - und wurde mit schlechten Ausreden begründet (bspw „Dienstags ist es schwer, Brot zu kriegen“).」

「We had the most incredible week with our family of 7 adults at Francesco’s Villa La Ruga directly on Lake Como. We enjoyed so many things about the house including morning coffee on the patio, evening bocce tournaments, a wonderful dinner cooked by Chef Umberto, a wonderful boat tour of Lake Como with Francesco, and much more. Francesco is an incredible host. He even provided some groceries to start our week along with pastries on the first morning. Wonderful!」

「Charming house with lovely view. Positives were the open plan central floor where we could all meet, and the view from the top floor bedroom. Negatives were the regular power cuts, the smaller bedrooms are hot without AC, and the walk to Menaggio is 30 minutes and of questionable safety in sections. Overall we had a delightful stay, a great time was had by all and George was really helpful !」

「In mei hebben we een heerlijke week met het gezin van totaal 13 personen gehad in Villa Ortentia. We hadden een uitstekende ontvangst met Marella, Dennis en zijn vrouw. We zijn uitgebreid rondgeleid. Het huis was zeer schoon. Zes uitstekende kamers. Prachtig uitzicht over het meer. Veel ruimte rond het huis en van alle gemakken voorzien waardoor we veel sportief vermaak hadden. Het zwembad was nog koud maar kon worden verwarmd. We hebben er veel gebruik van gemaakt. 「We are just back from a wonderful break at the villa in early May 2024. The villa is better than the listing shows as they have refurbished since the photos were taken. Very clean and comfortable with full amenities. We had beautiful weather so were able to really enjoy the gorgeous outdoor areas and a dip in the lake. We really enjoyed a peaceful week, mainly hanging out at the villa.」
