Great little hotel in the Normandy countryside. About a 15 minute drive to Monet's garden and a number of good restaurant options. The hotel has a restaurant with limited food options, but a great bar and sitting area. Beautiful grounds in a quiet location with plenty of fresh air.

Le Moulin de Fourges – A Dreamy Escape

The Charm Boutique Hotel near Giverny feels like a fairytale world. We stayed for one night, and the experience was enchanting. The rooms are both elegant and cozy, offering views of peaceful countryside garden and flowing water. The staff are warm and thoughtful. I wish we could have stayed longer.

French rustic charm with up-to-date amenities and a restaurant that serves excellent French dishes. What's not to like? The setting, the friendly staff, the comfort---all at a reasonable rate. Our room was huge with even an ante chamber with a second fireplace, where we enjoyed the complimentary bottle of prosecco. And just 15 minutes from Giverny and Monet's Home and incredible gardens. A must stay if in this area overnight!!!!

Le Moulin de Forges is an exceptional rural property that offers a scenic and quiet location for visiting Giverny, which is a 15-minute drive away. A lovely restaurant is on site.

Luxury in beautiful surroundings

The room was excellent a few cobwebs around windows but generally very clean and comfortable. We went in late September so not able to use the outdoor facilities but will be back in warmer times

We didn’t receive room upgrade because we booked best room by the river. Building is historic and beautiful, new bathroom but ancient building - close to Giverny with many beautiful drives, beautiful propert - loved sauna and hot tube with shower facilities- hosts were very nice

It was our last night in France. We wish we could have stayed more nights. We stayed in a house with 3 bathrooms and two bedrooms. Comfortable beds. Everything was great. We dine at their restaurant.

A delightful hotel in a beautiful location. We particularly enjoyed the tranquility of sitting by the river in the evenings to unwind. The staff were unfailingly professional, attentive and friendly. Delicious food. Beautiful room. We'd definitely return.

The property is very nice. It is a very old hotel and that has its drawbacks. Our room was probably the nicest in the hotel, overlooking the river and a small balcony. Bed was good, comfortable. The parking lot was a bit far so had to lug the bags a distance. No elevator so my wife and I had to carry all our belongings up two flights of stairs (we are both in our 70s but fortunately I am in very good shape). There was minimal cleaning of room in our two night stay. Used towels were left on the floor but they were just put back on towel rack. Overall the hotel is very nice and the staff friendly. I would recommend it highly and don’t consider the distance to the car and no elevator as a detriment. The building is old (but is modernized) and parking space in the hotel compound is scarce

This property is 25 minutes from Monet’s Garden and also from the Vernon train station. A taxi ride out is about €35 Euro, and the closest restaurants other than the one on the property are not within walking distance. You need a car if unwilling to deal with this. The staff is wonderful and when they understood that I was on foot they assisted me with taxi arrangements. The bedding was the most comfortable I’ve had in a hotel stay this year and the bathroom was spacious and well appointed. I would recommend the restaurant with 4 stars. Simple, elegant fare well prepared, fresh local ingredients and excellent flavors. I will stay here again, and spend more than one day, but I think I’ll rent a car.

Don’t be put off my male receptionist

Check in chap not over helpful, knew we were English but insisted on speaking French on every occasion we saw him. The room we were given was on 3rd floor. No lift. My husband has major back problems and I could not carry heavy cases up stairs. I returned to reception and was offered 2nd floor instead! I told him I could not carry the cases up stairs! He did not offer to carry them, but instead gave us a ground floor room which overlooked the mill and was lovely. Although no bath towels. This was corrected when our room was cleaned next day. Food and rest of staff were lovely and could not do more for us, including speaking English. Resident cat too

Got to be the most picturesque hotel in Europe.

Beautiful hotel on the side of the river, lovely garden, outdoor sitting area. We stayed in a suite in the old mill building, it was lovely & spacious, very comfy bed. Perfect location for visiting Monet’s Garden and other quaint villages around. Highly recommend.

Fabulous!

This was the best hotel of our stay and we wish we could have stayed longer. I loved the country setting and the quality furnishings. It was a short drive to Giverney and La Roche Guyon. The gourmet meal was exceptional. I highly recommend Le Moulin de Fourges!
