"Arrived hereoretty late and nobody picked up the phone to let us in. Eventually tracked down someone and they said it was full. I showed the reservation and they said they did not do third part bookings They saw that the price I paid was noticeably lower than thir rates and laughed in my face and left me to go fend for myself and find another spot last minute. "

"magical house that feel like museum with lots of historical items. the host was very welcoming and kind that helped us with everything we needed. the place is located in small peaceful village that is 5 minutes drive to Veliko Tornovo. we ordered the home cooked breakfast every day and it was cooked by our needs and demands just like we wanted. to summarize its an grate place, excellent host and amazing overall experience"

"Amazing location in the nature, with a beautiful big garden full of old graphic objects and a cozy terrace with a roof to chill away from any city noise surrounded by green and nature. Friendly feeling, cozy home vibe that recharged our batteries. Owner and housekeeper so friendly that we would come back definately!"

"We stayed 4 nights and highly recommend Hotel Varusha. Everyone we met from checking in to our departure was friendly and helpful, even using a translation device to chat about the fascinating history of Veliko Tarnovo. The location is in the Old Town and in a good location for sightseeing, cafés and restaurants. Our room had a lovely view over the atmospheric orange -tiled rooftops to green hills beyond. The room was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. We didn't use the kitchenette facilities downstairs, but saw they were well stocked with cups, glasses etc. We hope to return one day, as we really enjoyed our stay."

"We loved the ambience of the hotel. Everywhere you looked were bits of history from photographs and paintings to the antique furniture. The room was comfortable with all the amenities you could need and the staff was friendly and attentive to all our needs. It was a FABULOUS find!"

"The ensuite room was clean and cosy with a lovely view of the garden. Breakfast was delicious and healthy, made fresh each day. When we requested dinner, this was also delicious and at a good price.The location was close some lovely towns and only 2.5hrs from Sofia. Wifi had good connectivity. The hosts were very friendly, had lots of suggestions for places to see and where to eat. They catered to us perfectly. Looking forward to coming again. "
