"Location is 5 minutes from Glacier Point drive. Staying in the park allows us access the park without a reservation. Sofa beds aren’t in good condition. House out dated but everything works fine. "

"The Ahwahnee hotel is conveniently located in Yosemite Valley and within walking distance to a couple of trails, as well as the Merced River. There is a bus stop at the hotel where you can catch a free shuttle to other areas of Yosemite Valley, which is perfect if you’re traveling during peak season and don’t want to deal with parking in other areas of the park. The common sitting areas are very comfortable with amble seating and huge fireplaces that you can sit in and warm up after a long day of hiking in cold weather. The views of Half Dome are fantastic and that alone makes the hotel worth it.
My only complaints about The Ahwahnee Hotel would be regarding the elevator and dining options. Only one elevator was working at the time of my visit and it kept getting stuck frequently, rendering it useless. I had to resort to using the stairs and being on the 3rd floor, this became a problem. Especially on check-out and check-in. I had to bring all my suitcases, along with my families, up and down the stairs, which was exhausting. Although, they did have someone tending to one elevator, as I mentioned, it kept getting stuck and was useless most of the time. In cases where it wasn’t stuck, there would be long wait times for the elevator service, which further delayed any planned trip for the day. At that point it was more convenient to walk up or down the stairs. Dining options at the restaurant or the bar are mediocre. The menu doesn’t have much to offer."
"Great place! The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, you feel like you are at a camp. The base camp restaurant is great and good prices. It also has an Starbucks inside which is great. People at front desk are so friendly. "
"My son and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at this cabin. I booked this trip very last minute and the host was able to accommodate. I read the great reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The cabin was very cozy and being able to see and hear the river flowing directly behind the cabin was so peaceful, exactly what I was looking for. The bed was so comfortable, we slept very well and the host was very nice, offered very helpful information and was easy to contact. There is a market just a short walk/drive up the road that was pretty well stocked with items needed that I forgot to get at the grocery store on the way up there so that was pretty convenient. We did have to change the dates due to a power outage caused by a recent snow storm but that actually worked out in our favor bc had we went the original dates I had booked, we would not have had the opportunity to experience seeing the FireFall at El Capitan bc it was not visible during the days I had originally planned on going so my son and I were very happy about that. 10/10 highly recommended and will definitely book again. I hope I can come back in the summer "
"We visited during a winter storm. The place is cozy and has great view of the winter wonderland outside. Host was really kind to offer us extra night of stay, if the road closure impacts our departure date."

2/10 Terrible
"The house was far from luxurious. The heat didn’t work and the central heating didn’t get up to 70 until the next morning. No toiletrie amenities at!!! A lot of things broken or not working. The only thing I’m great full for is that my wife didn’t go with us because she would have hated this place. The electric didn’t work in any of the rooms. And WiFi was spotty. If you can find a different place I HIGHLY recommend you don’t stay HERE. As side from that if you don ’t want to drive fat after visiting Yosemite and this is the last place available then you know why. Good luck. "
